Toni Kroos is the first east German to win the World Cup, apparently

She's a bit ordinary, tbf.

Anyway, very hungover today - last night was quite something. I am not really sure how I got home but I am alone so no Brown Wings 2014 on the back of victory. Yet.

Boateng my MOTM, Neuer my player of the tournament. Klose is a legend, and now I am going to go back to bed.

Ian Royal The Germans were pretty comfortable all tournament, despite having a lot of injury and sickness worries to contend with. Delighted for them, they've thoroughly deserved that from their performances over the last few years.

a) Congrats to Germany - best team won, no doubt about that
b) No, they were not 'pretty comfortable'. Annihilated Portugal, draw with Ghana, tight against the US, extra time against Algeria, tight against France, annihilated Brazil, tight against Argentina.
c) No, they deserve that because they won THIS tournament. Their performances in previous years have zero bearing, other than that they were formative to producing this team.

Can't knock Fritz for winning it even though I thoroughly dislike them. Best team of the tournament overall. Not too keen on the Neuer challenge and the Argies dished it out a bit which could easily have seen a sending off.

Decent game considering it was awkward watching 2 pcuntish nations playing in the final (again). More than a hint of the Spanish tiki taka about Germany at times and the Argies have been a bit too negative in this tournament for me.

It was always going to be tough on us whoever won the final, Germany and their insatiable national obsession of having to dominate everyone and everything with their insipid form of conventionalism..............or the insufferable Argies and their usual whinging.

She's no pig.

The full photo got this comment from bobbybottler a few years back:

bobbybottler Great photo, which tells us so much.

I've attended the odd Association Football match, as I'm sure that we all have*, and if a smoking hot Aryan beauty walked past me during the game, holding what are obviously two pints of strong continental lager, I'd would at the very least been momentarily distracted.

I might have looked at her bottom once she was past, I may have made a gratuitously sexist remark to one of my BFFs next to me; whatever.

Yet those German chappies are still transfixed by the football, their concentration has not waivered.

Typical Teutonic efficiency - this is what gets them to the final of major pan-European tournaments IMO.

* obviously I'm not including Ian Royal in this sweeping statement.

Nothing more than a kids liking the best player in the world shocker. Beckham should be applauded for top parenting for teaching tolerance and understanding. Maybe something there for you to think about TBM.

Slightly better than Coleen Rooney and the tattooed English wives.

Draxlers other half :P

If those German players were shelf stackers in Aldi, those birds wouldn't look twice at most of the German players.
