Hate playing the Swedes, such an awkward side. As Graham Taylor said in 1992 after losing to them "they are a strong and physical side who favour an outdoor pursuit".

Also the weather really isn't going to help either team in this game. Temperatures in the 90s expected and England especially knackered after 120 minutes, penalties and rough house tactics on Tuesday.
Expect a slow dull, tedious struggle with little by the way of chances. So a bit like watching Reading then.

So, like most of the rest of the preWC punditry, I was expecting a half decent Germany at this stage and a somewhat inevitable shellacking.
Other than that, my pre-tournament prediction is 4 from 4. Trust the Germans to be unreliable.
This is going to go one of two ways.
1) Early goal settles nerves, Sweden have a hardworking, muscular but somewhat one dimensional attacking threat, so bar a late corner cleared off the line, that goal keeps England's nose ahead. It may end up two or three as the game opens up massively at the end.
2) 0-0 HT. 0-0 FT. 0-0 ET1 you get the picture. The football equivalent of trench warfare but thankfully absent the shithousery of the Colombians. Maybe that beast centreback of Sweden scores from a corner. But, yeah, tense, low on skill, high on effort.
