BRO_BOT Czech's parking the bus made for a fairly dull half

What else are they supposed to do? Would be madness for them to go toe to toe with a much higher quality team. Get a 0-0 and be more expansive against Turkey and Georgia.

Thought the manager got it wrong to be honest. Defended well, granted, but the setup was all wrong in attack, starting two big lads up top, ball just kept coming back at them

Reminded me of Ince starting Carroll and Joao at Old Trafford couple of years back, zero threat on the counter

Didn't think Bernardo Silva had his best game yesterday.
In fact I thought he was fairly ineffective by his high standards in the back end of last season.

With De Bruyne not doing much for Belgium, Foden the same for England and now Silva for Portugal in these first games it does seem as though City players are better for their clubs than country probably because of having a great manager who can generally bring the best out of his players.

I feel that Portugal and France showed enough without being brilliant to suggest that they are both contenders to win the Euros.
BTW I thought Vitinha was Portugal's best player last night and that they do have a lot of good options from the bench..

I think your sample size is ludicrously small for that suggestion

Been having a discussion, specifically about Foden but could apply to all of the above
For their clubs they play in a particular way and 'know' where their mates will be without having to look.
For country, they have to think about where their mates will be just a little bit more and that split second can make all the difference

That's hardly unappealing, Albania gave Italy a good go,both teams meed a win. Imbalance is fairly small....

Weghorst has more goals in these Euros than Kane, Mbappe and Ronaldo combined so he's obv a better striker

Croatia look like a team that have been taken to 1 tournament too many - major rebuild needed after this Euros.

Own goal stretching his lead in the goalscoring stakes - 4th of the tournament helps Croatia turn it round and lead 2-1.

That has been said after the last three tournaments to be honest, they always seem to come good.

Much prefer Croatia's kit now it's red and white quarters rather than the red and white chess board.

Albania v Croatia another cracking game, my maybe too early punditry though has them both going out now as I think that point is all either of them will get, so as a result 4 of the 5 remaining groups will send a 3rd placed team to the next round

Germany v Hungary excellent so far. Germans one up, but should be losing.

I guess they’ll end up winning, their attack is very lively.
