Italy last lost a “competitive” game in which they scored back in 2013 v Brazil (Confederations Cup).
All time record at international level is 35 games unbeaten held by both Brazil (1993-96) and Spain (2007-09). As an aside Algeria are also on a long unbeaten run, currently of 27 games.
As a comparison England’s longest run unbeaten is a rather poor 15 games on two occasions; 2005-06 and again in 2014-15
Odd fact. Saudi Arabia are the only nation England have played more than once and not managed to win (2 draws).
Of the 14 teams England have played just once all have been beaten except for 5 (4 if you group the CIS as Russia): Algeria, Commonwealth of Independent States, Ghana, Honduras and South Korea (all finished as draws).
