melonheadMmmMonsterMunch They missed Cole badly too. Really don't get why everyone raves about Baines.
baines and johnson are both suited to the flying wing back role not defensive full backs.
but could only play that system if we had three decent CBs
which we dont
ive no doubt that cole a d terry in that side would have won one of those two games.

jd82 Just the usual, toys out out of the pram histrionics on this thread.
Rooney was easily the best in white last night. Yes, of a pretty awful bunch.
Lol at those bemoaning the tap in. If that was Suarez at the other end everyone would have been talking about his desire to get on the end of it, and how he opened up his body and used his left to avoid the keeper.

And Ronaldo (Portugal), Messi (Argentina), Neymar (Brazil), Robben (Holland), Ribery (France), Pogba (France) etc etc don't make it more exciting for other leading European domestic leagues, it's only the Premier League where this is a problem for the national team is it?

soggy biscuit Rooney will be almost 33 by the next WC so I reckon he has only 1 Euros's in him anyway. As I have stated before, I wouldnt be particularly surprised if he retired from international football after this WC anyway. Sounds like Gerrard is.
