And who would replace him? Eddie? Or try for Klopp?

Throw a load of money at Klopp. It's a much reduced schedule and a lot more money. It would appeal to him you'd think.

0% chance of that happening, he cares about his Liverpool legacy too much. And you know what they'd be like if he took the England job

We all know it will be Eddie Howe.

He’s got his eye on the Germany job. If Germany fail early doors he’s in there.

If they win the tournament maybe he’ll look elsewhere.

Would he leave Newcastle? Seems more likely than 12 months ago.

I wouldn't rule him out of the Liverpool job based purely on the Liverpool connection. He will dress it up as building a bridge to the Liverpool supporters and all that scouse bullshit.

He'd also do anything for 10 million a year I reckon.

Yeah I'd say definitely. The job security at Newcastle is not great. If they are outside the top 4 at Christmas he's gone I reckon.

England job is cushy as fcuk.

Tactics and mentality are the obvious issue. Denmark has us sussed.

The players are not shit, the fault lies elsewhere

What about his predecessors who failed with arguably more talented squads?

Seems to be a recurring theme where England freeze on the main stage. Southgate, for his faults, can’t be blamed for everything

We got the wrong Nico Williams playing for Wales. This one must have some Welsh parentage somewhere.

Err Clive, the Spain right back is called Carvajal and the Italian right back is called Di Lorenzo. Never go full Tim Dellor.

Looking very good so far tonight. No-one would be surprised if Italy win though.

PieEater
Ascotexgunner Portugal for me. Got a really decent starting 11. I think England might bomb, They just look a bit fragile at the back and if they go a goal behind the plan B of TAA just throwing balls in the box won't work.....

It's not just the fragile defence, the whole team of talented players seem clueless how to play as a team or with any sort of system. Compare that to Germany, who arguably player for player aren't as good yet each player knows their system and as a result they play a lot better.

They might as well play an open game and try to score as many as possible as I can't see them hanging on to any lead.

Neuer > Pickford

Walker > Kimmich

Rudiger = Stones

Tah > Guehi (close call)

Kroos > Rice

Andrich = TAA ( at what being a CM is)

Bellingham > Gundogan

Musiala > Foden

Wirtz > Saka

Kane > Havertz

England 3 Germany 5 equal 2

Appreciate the Musiala and Wirtz opinions might seem strange to those who only watch the PL, but Wirtz was player of the season in Bundesliga with 18 goals and 20 assists, in a team that got to the EL Final. And Musiala is a generational talent in a team that got to the CL semi final.

Saka is a great player as is Foden, but I dont think its clear cut they are better than their opposites in the German side.

Spain v Germany would be a good final if the draw keeps them apart, definitely the two best teams so far I think.
