Even if Septic Bladder did resign, FIFA is so corrupt it wouldn't change anything.

Qatar Aspire Zone Foundation buys Belgian 2nd Div team KAS Eupen.

The takeover of little-known Eupen is designed as a means to allow Qatari youth football to develop, which hosts the World Cup in 2022, becoming a major player on the European stage.

I can hear the odds on Qatar winning the WC tumbling

FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke says an agreement is very close for Qatar 2022 to take place in Nov/Dec.

Valcke is leading a review by FIFA into when it should take place.

Says ACN would probably get called off that year and says one of the requests from this country was that English football must be played over the Christmas period, as is tradition.

Much more excited at the prospect of summer evening games taking place here as the football season is shifted to accommodate. Long lazy day in the sun getting tanked up then heading to the Stadium Of Noise for an 8 or even 9pm kick off when the days heat is fading.

though I will be approaching 50 by then so doubt it will matter

I'm actually quite surprised that the bribery fund was as little as £3m, with a mere £1m going to Jack Warner.

So it appears Qatar bought the World Cup......shock horror.....FIFA may even sanction a re-vote. However if this happens, does it call in to question Russia 2018? Weren't some votes for Russia on the understanding of votes for Qatar in 2022? I don't think Russia did anything wrong, but surely if the 2022 vote was rigged, the 2018 vote was tainted by Qatar too!

I get the feeling that Russia would be rendered guilty by association.

Any world cup process that doesn't award the tournament to England is fixed, so I am not sure what the fuss is about.

Could well be a hidden agenda to get this 2022 WC moved to somewhere more appropriate.

Fair enough, the WC is just that, the World Cup and it wasn't entirely fair either to keep the S America/Europe rotating hosting template but who the fcuk wants to go to Qatar?

It'll be a flop if they do host it, the players won't be very enthusiastic about it, or the fans from a lot of established football nations and this will surely feed back to the sponsors who won't be so keen. Terrible idea to host it there, and all the rest of the moving domestic games nonsense just to play a World Cup in a hot dust bowl/restricted drinking & party country - no thanks.
