Ian Royal Good game this. Costa Rica not overawed in the slightest and giving it a go. Some of the passing is rather over hit, but you can forgive that when it's ambitious attacking balls.
Don't think this one is going to be 0-0 come FT.

Royal Rother Yeah, I doubt he did anything "wrong" but I think a rule should be introd where zero interaction is allowed from the keepers during a penalty shoot out.
In the event of an attempt to speak to the taker, walk up to him, hand him the ball etc. just award the penalty as scored.
Alternative is just to view everything as fair game and part of the shoot out.

I still don't see a problem with it. It's like the wicket keeper sledging in cricket

Royal Rother Yes, and sledging in cricket should have been banned as soon as it reared it
s ugly head.

You're flogging a dad horse here RR-this s the totally professional era where cheating is fine as long as it doesn't affect your team
FWIW I obviously agree with you and for the record (Kits) sledging only came to the fore in the 1960s/70s and would hae been a rarity before then.

Sanguine Telling that Krul went the right away for each penalty – coincidence or just incredibly well prepared?

Pepe the Horseman Cesar was coming about four or five yards off his line against Chile. That's cheating.

Ouroboros The Dutch, as boring as always.
