Platypuss Albania certainly looking like no mugs either.

Who will be the first to beat a minnow by more than 1 goal? Which will be the first minnow to be beaten by more than 1 goal.

Obvs I'm working on the basis that Austria, Belgium and Ukraine aren't minnows. Slovakia, Iceland, Northern Ireland and Albania. Who else?Maybe Turkey, Ireland and/or Hungary too.

Albania, m8.

But yeah, decent effort. Think its more that there's a long tail of "OK but no great shakes" and very few really good teams trying to hammer massive wins early.

It's a very tactical tournament thus far.

yes I liked France's tactic of holding off scoring until the 89th minute.

I know. They were never pushed, but there was no need for them to bust a gut.

With an additional game, things like injuries and yellow cards will need to be managed as well.

The French defence looks abysmal. First 'big' team they come up against will destroy that back line.

Really looking forward to the football later. The anticipation is killing me. What will Joachim Löw be wearing?

They have Gunter and right back and England just aren't attacking the left hand side and exposing his defensive vulnerabilities.

Steve McManaman is a massive fanny. (He's secondary commentator on ESPN in the US)

WTAF is wrong with the goalkeepers in this tournament?

Straightforward free kicks down the middle of the goal and their knees go to rubber.

What an absolute load of crap. Just like Saturday, loads of huff, puff and flattering to deceive but no end product.

Why don't we have a proper pair of strikers on the pitch, what the hell is the point of Sterling and why is Rooney playing as a deep midfielder.

Oh and why is England devoid of any top class defensive talent and why does Hart continually drop clangers when it matters.

HLOLdgsLOLn out.

This is terrible. Lots of pedestrian passing to no purpose with no tempo. How Sterling has picked up two caps when he was lucky to even be there is beyond me. He never has the ball under control, what he'll try is utterly predictable and he can't shoot or cross.

And yet we still should have had three goals. Smalling should have scored, Sterling should have scored and we should have got the softest penalty in the universe for the blatant push on Alli in the box. Wales have done nothing except have Bale take a passable freekick that Hart should have saved.

Get Sterling the oxf*rd off and bring on Wilshere to give us some zip and purpose in the middle of the park, push Rooney to Sterling's slot to actually do some damage.

The only people making any oxf*rd effort are Walker and Lallana.

HRK has done well, maybe we missed a trick by not trying him as a target man?

Credit to Roy, he listened. Put 2 strikers on and jammed the country to an unconvincing win.

We did. He was ok, but never looked like scoring and didn't have Garath Bale behind him to pick up the slack.

That was a much much better second half. Still a pass too many too often and not zipping it along to stretch the opposition enough. Trying to do a little too much in the middle and snatching at chances. Horriffic long shooting too. But enough, just barely to dominate the game and sneak a win. Wales can feel really really unlucky. As unlucky as England ended feeling against Russia.

Now can we please not see Sterling on the pitch again?
