Libertine I have nothing against Spain or Spanish people per se. But the attitude they hold that they are the only ones playing the game the way it should be played, a "beautiful game", is so full of itself, almost as much as they are full of themselves, that I can't help be anything but happy their arrogance just got kicked squarely in the nuts. Football should be played with passion and not just be an exercise in geometry.

Flyingkiwitulip2 world wars, 1 world cup Total neutral watching the game but I can't help feeling for Spain.
Casillas in awful form, the whole team screwed up.
Fair play to Chile, but it still doesn't explain why they have such a silly shaped country.
Casillas was dreadful, he has played his last international for sure.
Given that he's the captain, I think he'll play in the match against Aussie.
He'll then, probably, retire from international football.

Is that their attitude or is that your perception of them because they won so much in the last 6 years?
How many teams sat in their own half, challenging Spain to break them down and allowing the Spanish to have the possession they had? Those teams were doing what they thought they needed to do to win and fair play to them but it means that the Spanish had to what they needed to do to win as well.

SLAMMED 'greed. Not sure why people are calling it the "end of an era". They were just knocked out of a tournament by better teams.

Ian Royal It's duller than kicking the opposition into losing and playing Wimbledon style hoofball.

I’m no massive fan of the Spanish approach as a spectacle, but this is a crazy st8ment.
