Gerrard woeful again. Out muscled embarrassingly by Suarez and then later on for the goal.

Jag ball watching for the goal.

Ian Royal So, if we lose this I take it we're blaming the ref for not sending off Godin and lamenting the woodwork from Rooney's header?

Pundits claiming it's not in England's DNA to make a meal of it after the elbow to the throat. Fat Frank's ability would have got the guy banned for life. And I seem to recall Steve Gerrard being more than capable of taking a dive against us as well.

What's wrong with defending the near post from corners??

Whore Jackie Got to get Sterling in the game. As per the latter stages of the Italy game, he just doesn't influence matters wide on the right. Take off Henderson, get on Lallana and have a fluid front 5 with Sterling behing Sturridge. Or stick on Lambert and lump it at them ye olde-England style.

Or take Rooney off.

Coz that's what all the armchair pundits would do.

Well...

On the bright side, we're lucky not to be 4 - 0 down.

Jesus! This defence is embarrassing.

Rooney unlucky not to score, gonna be questions over whether whoever he stole it off the toes of (Sturridge?) would have buried it though.

Never thought I'd say it, but i think we need Milner on. Welbeck and Stirling have square root of jack shit defensively.

Well in on their keeper. Makes up for some of their dirty play. At least that was an honest attempt at the ball.

Nah

We should be able to win against in an eleven aside contest.

We are very much work in progress....and rightly so after the stagnation of the previous eight......start the blaming and shaming in four years time.

Meanwhile....its another decent game,

Interesting use of the word progress.

We may be looking slightly better than we were, but we are still losing ground against the world's best.

Stirling's been nowhere, which is a shame. Don't think Uruguay are giving us the opportunity to use Gerrard's range of long passing. Maybe Wilshire for him and Lambert / Lallana / Barkley for him.

Stirling should be taken off just for that pathetic dive.

Ouch. No way they should let Perreira back on after that.
