Woeful really. Why is there no width on the left, it's all coming down the right what little width there is and that is from Clyne. Rest of the time it slow dreary play in the middle and so painfully predictable.

Why are there no damn out and out wingers there, is the English game that ****?

Probably because hardly anyone uses wingers these days.

I don't understand why Slovakia are playing to spoil here. No effort to get forward. Do they reckon they'll get one of the third place spots with a draw?

I think 4 points and third gets you a game against the Germans.

Just LOL at the packed middle and everyone getting in each other's way. Its like watching schoolboys.

We've actually had very few shots considering the domination. Fair fooks to the Slovaks

Utterly brain dead crap from England. Not helped by more questionable substitutions and tactics from Mr Cautious.

fwiw I don't think Roy's changes had a negative effect, I think the outcome would have been the same regardless

Yeah. It's been the same from England all tournament. Dominate possession. Move the ball incredibly slowly and do everything very predictably. Then occasionally get frustrated and blast a shit shot. Over hit almost every cross. Every other cross stick down the keeper's throat or straight at the first defender. Then get desperate late on and repeatedly overrun the ball into a defender trying to do it all in one driving run.

I actually thought Slovakia came into the game a bit more and we got more ponderous once Lallana and Wilshere went off.

The one bonus is that from now on the other teams are likely to come onto a us a bit more and leave space for us to attack into rather than an area crowded with about 15 players.

Think that is what happens in the knock-out rounds tbf...unless they fancy their chances in a penalty shoot-out

....and let's face, who wouldn't

TBH they'd be better advised to watch us huff and puff for 60 minutes then destroy us on the break when we get desperate. Or just score the first time they get a set piece as our defence falls over itself or Hart palms the ball into the net for no reason.

England players do seem to be worse tournament bottle jobs and chokers than Reading in a Play Off campaign.

yes...and just a tad embarressed that Wales have upstaged us in the tournament so far.

Guntz looked decent and was even nice to see Churchie get some minutes
