Nations League & Friendlies

by Winston Biscuit » 06 Sep 2018 12:35

23 year old Krzysztof Piątek of Poland. Called up for the very first time. 7 goals in his first 3 matches for Genoa this season and getting some very complimentary reviews about how accomplished he looks. Will be interesting to see how he gets on Vs Italy

The Denmark situation is an interesting one to watch. They lost 3-0 to Slovakia last night and had a futsal player in goal.

Christoffer Haagh (GK) - Jaegersborg Boldklub - futsal
Simon Vollessen - Birkerod - fourth tier
Daniel Nielsen - Vanlose - fourth tier
Nicolai Johansen - Vanlose - fourth tier
Mads Priisholm Bertelsen - Tarup-Paarup IF - third tier
Rasmus Johanson - Hellerup IK - third tier
Christian Bannis - Tarup-Paarup IF - third tier
Oskar Hojbye - Vanlose - fourth tier
Rasmus Gaudin - Vanlose - fourth tier
Kasper Kempel - Skovshoved - third tier
Christian Offenberg (captain) - Avarta - third tier

Not sure how you can choose not to appear for your country because of something money related. Footballers should get absolutely zero money for playing international football. It is not a right it is a privilege.

Incredible stuff. Not seen us play like this for decades. No offence to Coleman but Giggs is really adding an extra dimension. How the hell have we managed to gel this team so quickly? Ampadou looks a hell of a player and a real quality in midfield. Shame we conceded.....Ramsay of all people.

Gunter's days at right back look numbered as well. Roberts looks a far better option.

Yep silly from Ramsey. In the end 4/1 seriously flattered Ireland. Ampadu was superb. He is just 17. Conor Roberts played very well. Gunter won’t get back in and arguably Giggs could always switch Dummett to the right if Roberts was injured. Dummett is very unlucky not to be in the side.

Lovely stuff but Denmark will be playing their full team on Sunday and that will be a much tougher ask.

Yeah suspect a revertion back to the Coleman style Sunday but we look so much quicker on the counter now. Brooks is an immense talent. The confidence of the youngster is unreal. Ampadou seems to offer such good cover. Rumour is Derby are taking him. Kind of player we need at Reading a solid DM with a fantastic engine.

Chelsea’s fans on their messageboard tonight saying he should be picked ahead of Luiz. He’s a few weeks younger than Loader. Perhaps we should bring Loader into the Reading team after all.

I think there is some merit to this tournament. Four teams will qualify for the Euro 2020 Finals through it and it will also impact upon seedlings for the Euro group draw later this year. It’s far from perfect but a step in the right direction.

It should also serve to illustrate just how ill equipped England are to beat a genuine top tier nation by having us lose most of our games in it.

Gunter should not be starting for Wales, he has been awful. Three times he has left Chester exposed. All he's done is lose the ball. And when going forward, he stops and passes it back to and puts his cover under pressure!!!!!!!! Would have preferred Roberts there again.

Agreed. Roberts is playing ahead of him as well which has meant Brooks has been dropped.

Brooks needs to come on this half and slot Roberts at right back. We don't look safe down that side.
