Kes I wouldn't be surprised if Robinho gets his Premiership grounding at City before making a switch to the Bridge in a season or two. It'll be just the like Berbatov scenario.

Excellent straw clutching there H.

And Robinho said "I thought you played in red...."

I can't wait until he sees Dunne in the training ground car park. He'll probably ask the fat twat to park his car for him.

Robinho interview

"I am shocked at the move, but it will be good to play alongside the likes of Giggs and Ronaldo".

"Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160million (£90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more; I would think $240million (£135m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United."

LOLz @ not naming Chelsea because they're NOT important.

All the money in the world can't make Ronaldo sign though. He wants Real Madrid and United may well spite City and take the £90m rumoured to be on offer from Real.

That is the whole point though, Citeh are in a position to now test the mettle of teams like Utd and Real Madrid. Citeh put in a bid in January, force Madrid's hand in also bidding Utd then have to make a decision on whether Ronaldo can go. Player gets the hump etc etc. Berbatov has already stated that he signed for Utd due to the club, rather than the money on offer from Chelsea and Citeh. Will be interesting to see how many other players tow the same line

Back in Brazil, many supporters have frowned upon Robinho's antics and choice of club.

Even the player's mother, Marina, has said she does not know why he chose to go to City and reject the chance to play under Scolari.

However, when City announced that they had agreed a fee with Real, and coach Bernd Schuster said the striker had not moved for "footballing reasons", it left those in Robinho's native Brazil believing he had let down his country in favour of a quick buck.

Pele said: "Chelsea are lucky. This boy needs some serious counselling. In my view he has been badly advised."

And the criticism was even more stinging from his former club Santos, whose president, Marcelo Teixeira, said: "This is one of the most disgraceful episodes in Brazilian football.

"He is a player who is an idol to children, an example. But he has not acted like one."

Santos general manager, Jose Fernandos, had his two cents worth as well, adding: "We are ashamed at having produced such a player."

They'll all change their tune when the Sheikh makes his January signings.

Exactly. In 2 years time when they're pushing United and Chelsea for a European Cup, they'll be so proud. Stupid Brazillians - cracking totty mind.
