Come on armchair fans rally round Manchester City

by readingbedding » 03 Sep 2008 12:34

Manchester City is now my team.

I hate Manchester United and Peter Swales, my favourite game was against Gillingham.

He's my Favourite player...

I remember that Gillingham game - what a cracker. 0-0 with 8 mins left and Gills then went 2-0 up but in injury time City bring it back to 2-2 and go on to win on penaltys

LOL at the co-commentator saying after the 2nd Gillingham goal "that's game over now im afraid" and then after City pull 1 back saying "the game isn't over yet, i said that"

At least unlike Chelsea and Blackburn, it's a proper football club spending the money in an attempt to buy trophies. 8)

lol.

Was a great game though. Remember my dad phoning his mate who was a gillingham fan at 2-0, wishing him all the best in division one,et
Couple of mins later its 2-2. How gutted would those gillingham fans have been? Ouch.

No more than when we were 2-0 up and missing a penalty after what, 20 minutes? Then losing 4-3

It could have killed them as a club, but i think they went up the following season, either as runners-up or through the play-offs again!

This was when i first set up OffatEleven.com and we had some great banter with the Gills fans, loving it after that result but they soon rubbed it in the follow season.

Almost as funny as the second biggest club in Manchester calling their ground The Theatre of Dreams.

I DO remember watching that game at home on TV. I must admit I was out of my seat when it went to 2-2.

Looking forward to City upsetting the big 4 over the next few years.

BRING IT ON.
