Heidar Helguson's loan spell at Loftus Road has been made permanent.

Excellent signing in my honest opinion. I've always fancied seeing him here as he's different to what we've got and would provide a nice balance.

Quality in the air and still good at this level.

Apparently Wayne Routledge has turned down a permanent move to Cardiff (for £300k) and is rumoured to be joing QPR where the pay is higher......

Potentially the biggest Championship bargain of the month at that price.

Defoe misses training with Portsmouth this morning through 'illness'.

Although it does depend on how much they're having to pay him.

I wonder how the added draw of a possible quick return to the Premiership would influence his thinking if we were to join the race?

I'd have thought that the location of QPR might also be swaying his decision a tad also. As much a Cardiff is a great night out and only a couple of hours from London I'm sure he'd look kindly on a return home as opposed to a prolonged stay in the valleys.

I don't quite get Defoe - is he really giving up on Adams already? He was given a chance by Pompey after being shut out at Spurs, and has done very well. Back in the limelight, he wants to jump ship already.

I hate Defoe with a passion, he's a spinless individual who gets away with a lot of stuff on a football pitch, i'd like to know how many yellow cards he gets as he never stops ranting at officials.

If you had a chance to get off the Titanic, you would. It's a sinking ship. Adams is the worst thing to happen to that club since ALOLan BaLOLOL.

Manchester United have completed the signings of Serbian duo Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic from Partizan Belgrade.

Left-winger Tosic and midfielder Ljajic arrive at Old Trafford for an undisclosed fee although reports suggest a combined figure of £16.3m.

I want to know:

1. Come Feb 1st will Napoli have enough players left to actually play a game?
2. How much will Ezequiel Lavezzi end up going for?
3. Will Frank Ribery really join Real Madrid? / just how much spare cash to Real Madrid have??
4. Which Premier League club Will Alberto Gilardino be playing for come Feb 1st? (Everton?)
5. Which English players will move abroad for footballing reasons and definately not for money reasons now that the Euro means they can earn so much more......cough Michael Owen cough

Gavin Hoyte is (or was till he was loaned out to watford) the fastest player at Arsenal, faster than Walcott.

To be fair to Defoe, and I don't like doing it, I don't think he ever wanted to leave Spurs in the first place. The fans loved him at WHL and at the end of the day it was Harry that gave him the chance and not Pompey really.

I can understand him wanting to go back now that things have changed round.

Agree, Harry gave Defoe the chance at Pompey and IIRC at West Ham also. So Harry worked his magic and getting him there also.

No news from the club on Routledge, would be a great signing for 300k, the beeb seem to think it's a done deal.

The day after West Ham got relegated he handed in a transfer request.

What is it about little players?
I can think of a few who fans don't like:-
Chopra
Dyer
Cole
Hunt
Defoe
Dickov
Wise
Bowyer

Short man syndrome with a massive spoon of footballer arrogance added in.

But there are lots who fans do (generally) like too, such as:

Owen
Fabregas
Wright-Phillips
Zola
Maradona
Modric

Ah, the distinction between the lists is suddenly clear.
