Ian Royal Who's won the most manager of the year awards in the last 3 years?

2006: José Mourinho (Chelsea F.C.) - Guiding Chelsea to a second successive league title.
Barclays Premier League
2007: Alex Ferguson (Manchester United F.C.) - Winning a ninth Premier League title.
2008: Alex Ferguson (Manchester United F.C.) - Winning a Tenth Premier League title and the Champions League

So Fergie, then.

Whoever decides that isn't really thinking outside the box.

Stranded
MiniRoyal Pennant to Pompey.

I can only assume that any interest by Milan, the Madrid clubs and other Spanish sides died - if not this move sums up everything that is wrong with English footballers.

Its only on loan till the end of the season - then he's a free agent. I bet that's what they are all waiting for.

Probably mentioned on The Team, but Middlesbrough agree a fee with Palace for Ben Watson.

The only transfer that matters today is Palacios to Spurs for £14m.

Come on Wigan. Do the right thing!

I've emailed them asking to take Hunt off our hands so we can go out and buy somebody that actually wants to be at the club

If the figures are right, Wigan have made 13m on Palacios in 12 months. Thats a pretty shrewd bit of business by Bruce.

Plus if the Valencia deal goes through there's another 11m there.

Whilst Bruce has said its like having a leg ripped off, the financial recompense should go some way to cushioning the blow.

Oh. But then we only have Bobby Convey on the left-wing.

Do you have a problem with your short term memory?

And we have Jay Tabb.

I almost want Shunt to go now just so we can start planning for the last four months of the season.

If he doesn't go he should say that he doesn't want to go.

I would be happy with Surman as his replacement.

No, I just thought Tabb was a central midfielder.

And if we have Tabb on the left, we don't need Surman, surely?

Surely not a bad idea to have both.

If Shunt is off and Convey is ineffectual we would have Tabb and Surman as replacements.

Fair enough - it wouldn't be very Coppellish to buy two players for the same position though. If that's going to be his approach then I'd sooner we bought a 'replacement' for Long.

But Tabb can play across the midfield. And Long is producing a lot more than Convey is. Not that I wouldn't want another striker in.

You know how Coppell bought Lita, Long and Doyle all at the same time. And NHunt and Mooney?

Can you see where I'm going with this?
