Cheltenham Town manager Martin Allen is getting on his bike to raise funds to help pay for players.
The 43-year-old plans to cycle more than 76 miles from his home near Maidenhead, Berkshire, to the Robins' training ground in Swindon Village to raise money to pay players' wages next season.
But Mr Allen, who has been criticised by some fans after leading the club to relegation from League One, said he would only complete the challenge if supporters backed him.
He said: "Maidenhead to Cheltenham is a lot of miles but, if I did it, would the supporters sponsor me to help finance players' wages for next season?
"I'm up for it, but I first need to know if it's going to raise good money to help with team building.
"I will make a decision in 10 days, but I need to know from the fans what they can do to help."
