Looks like he's off - they seem very confident this is happening.

Unfilled early potential. Ah well...

James Henry on way out?

by riverroyal » 26 Jul 2010 13:17

be a shame if this is true . . .

MILLWALL are in talks with Reading's former England U19 star James Henry about joining the Lions permanently - and a deal might be completed possibly as early as this evening.

Further details in tomorrow's South London Press

Another wage, albeit a relatively small one, off the books. Wonder if there's a fee or at least a sell on clause.

The way Antonio played on Saturday I can see why...plus Henry's never really proved himself when given the chance with us. Good Luck to him though.

Strengthens the case that McAnuff will be staying.....with only HRK & Antonio as back up wingers!

Makes sense. He never really grabbed his opportunities. We'll undoubtedly include a sell-on clause if he makes it big - which, given his lack of outstanding pace, he probably won't, sadly.

Good back up on hand with H R-K and Antonio.

Will be a big shame. His heart seems 100% RFC, which is more than can be said for some of our players.

Having said that though I haven't seen him play much.

With McAnuff, Kebe, Robson-Kanu and Antonio we have more than enough cover on the right, assuming he's not better than those.

I'm a big fan of cutting a squad down to a manageable size.

No big deal, fallen behind HRK and Antonio in the pecking order, so this makes sense. The more wage bill we can trim, the more hopefull we'll all be that McDermott is given funds to at least sign a loan CB for the season.

No great loss. He, unlike others, has had chances to show what he can do and hasn't made the most of them.

He's had his chances and never really impressed, I'm surprised it's taken this long to flog him to be honest. Supposedly got a sweat right boot, but everytime I've seen him play his corners have hit the first defender!!

No loss, had chances and never impressed.

I have a feeling Antonio will be the emerging star of the new season.

Lots of potential in Henry, he used to be quicker though and without that pace he doesn't quite have the trickery to get past a good full back. He has great technique though and perhaps he needs to take a step backwards and get a full season or two under his belt before he will be ready for this level.
