I had them at 10/11 in the first leg which I thought were fantastic odds. However, at 3-0 up it'll be interesting to know what their mentality will be tonight. Still, they are clearly a better side than Celtic. I wonder what the odds are if you take the draw as well.

Anyone got the heads up on Southend? I was looking at backing them for relegation at 5/1, they have signed 17 new players and ive not heard of any of them.

All the sky sports 'experts' have them down for relegation. I think they'll do ok. All 17 were signed on pre contract agreements so have been training with the club and probably played most pre-season games as triallists. 14 registered on Friday when their transfer embargo was lifted.

The same experts have Barnet down for relegation but they have Mark Stimson as their manager and he signed about 15 players mostly from non-league, there was an interview somewhere with him I think in non-league football and he said the non-league players he signs show more hunger to suceed than players who drop down from say League 1.

Macclesfield, Accrington and Lincoln are looking like suspects for relegation.

Carried away with that first game of the season feeling I've decided to have a flutter. I've plonked £2 on these nine, will keep the afternoon interesting for me if all else fails!

Middlesbrough
QPR
Reading
Charlton
Peterborough
Sheff Weds
Chesterfield
Gillingham
Stevenage

On a 9 folds I've got 86.01/1. A complete longshot but will be interesting to see how close I get.

Almost as close as Federici gets to catching a corner.

I haven't bothered with league cup tonight to many squad rotations and the likelihood of being let down by championship sides playing league 2 sides.

Will have a look at the internationals tomorrow but again loads of changes from the World Cup its difficult one!

Even so Wales should still beat Luxembourg......
