Platypuss This seems a good antidote to the Cardiff approach.

Yes, the Swansea Trust is one of the best. One of their founders, Richard Lillicrap, was one of the nicest and most committed blokes you could ever hope to meet. He died in 2007 : http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/2007/sep/05/obituaries.mainsection
If we can't go up I'll definitely wish Swansea all the best.
His disarming humour was among his most effective weapons

reading_fan I've been wondering how long it would take Cardiff to be in this position, it wasn't so long ago they'd got no money to pay wages and the backroom staff and now they've spunked £x a week on Bellamy's wages. They've been a financially ruined club for a number of years now and yet still manage to find stupid money to splash out on signings and wages. They're lucky to have the Malaysian owners, because without them it's questionable they'd have a club at all given the way they've done things over the years. Even then, the guy seems to be just about keeping them afloat at the moment, what with the "buying season tickets early" fiasco.
Some of our fans who criticise Mr Mad for not spending vast quantities of money of rank average players would do well to take note of what's happening at Cardiff. We could be in a lot worse position were it not for his financial prudence, however much that seem frustrating at times.

i'll_be_there (who_won't_be_there) I cant see Cardiff being relegated. Ok before Dave Jones came in, we were doing ok, finishing on average in the middle of the table but since he came in, thats when we started getting better. Ok although we were completely useless the other Tuesday, I cant see us getting relegated. But saying that, my opinion might change after the first few weeks of the new season...

The Allan Davies chant? 3,000+ bouncing C*rdiff fans singing this at The Vetch the day after his suicide is one of the sickest things I've seen. No 'It's only a minority etc...' excuses accepted. Unforgiveable - he was also a Welsh international?!? Scum.

pea This is key, we spent quite a lot of money bringing the likes of Mills, McAnuff, Rasiak, Howard, and Cummings as a result of the money we recieved and we still almost got relegated.
