Wenger was right to say the offer for Cahill was part of a 'negotiation', but equally Arsene needs to get real and start treating Arsenal's situation with the attention is deserves. Liverpool might have 'overspent', but they have bought key players in positions that they needed. Arsenal desperately need a new centre-back, and Wenger should be straight on the phone to Bolton with a £12m bid tomorrow morning.
