I agree with this. Analysis of games that are already over-analysed will not draw that many people, imho. I read the Marseille-Inter one and enjoyed it but I generally wouldn't return again and again to a blog that is talking about the games that are getting wall to wall coverage anyway.

Anyway, keep it up - my opinion is not meant to be at all negative (as I'm sure Stuka's wasn't) - just the 'insight' (ahem) in my case of a drunk guy on a barstool. It doesn't (from my perspective) have to be English football either though.

Exactly Starfish.

How about a feature on some more underreported aspects of the game?

Serious suggestion- how has the Belarusian league coped with the influence of Asian betting syndicates?

I understand what you are both saying and we will most definitely look at diversifying our work as their are many different things we want to write about. Its just it has been Champions League week and he have managed to treble our views (admittedly not a huge number but we have only just started) over the last few days by posting links in like the Inter forums and the AC Milan forums so they can poke fun at their neighbours :) and the Chelsea one.

Any suggestions are most welcome though the Belarussian one may be a bit beyond us lol and I will keep posting new articles on here as long as its no bother.

Bloggin about games on the telly? Meh.

Trawl through the lower league results, read locals press and look for the different story that won't be on the front page of the Beeb.

Like this: http://www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk/Grimsby- ... story.html and how it could could go based on other manager-poaching cases or how it could be setting a precedent further up the structure.

I think you might be targeting the wrong readership by touting on here. We are for the most part match going fans who support a League team so don't realy care or watch much football on the telly, at least not in a meaningful way. A piece of advice: Get out into the wide world and actually watch some football live rather than blogging from your armchair about Champion's League games which are already receiving saturated coverage and hyped up to the hilt by baying mongs on Talksport, Sky TV, and Four Four Two magazine.

I do know that this isn't really the right place for the kind of readership we are looking for but in being a Reading fan and knowing that this is a pretty busy forum I thought I would post it on here aswell and its been a reasonable success with quite a views coming from this site. Obviously most of our success so far has come from the forums of the teams we have spoken about plus strangely the AC Milan forum despite not doing anything on them though I think they enjoyed the Inter bashing lol.

We are not trying to cover just champions league football or just the elite teams its just that it is the football that has been on this week. We are looking to cover European football across a variety of Country's but in us being both half Italian and having a greater knowledge of Italian football than any other a lot of our first articles have been about Italian football. We do have a lot of other stuff we want to write about for example we have a pieces in the pipeline about the Belgian and Armenian National football teams and their prospects in the future.

Admitedly we dont have much interest in writing about something like league 2 football or Bulgarian 2nd division football but we are interested at looking at new teams and leagues and look at things in ways which are different from how a lot of these big sites look at things. for example instead of just writing about how and why Napoli's front three are so good we looked at which one of them was the most effective and thus most important of the three. Also instead of just writing about Bayern Munich ability we compared them to the other sides left in the Champions League in style of play looking at their strengths and weaknesses in more detail than most sites do.

anyways I hope that has explained it a bit better and once again as long as we are getting a reasonable amount of views of this site I will keep updating and hopefully you will find something of interested to yourself :)

Sorry if I came across a bit harsh Forza. Good luck with the blog and I will keep an eye on it.

Have a read of 'When Saturday Comes' magazine sometime if you haven't already, really good reportage about all kinds of aspects of the game- including the Bulgarian 2nd division!
