Lowest crowd of the day yesterday at Aldershot 1,196.

With an average spend per head of around £16 a few quid from sponsors and a bit of TV money, that's not a very positive outlook.

Hard to believe we were battling away with them a couple of decades ago when you compare our weekend:

A crowd of 24,000 with an average spend per head of around £30 a lot of money from sponsors and a sackful of TV cash.

Then again our top wage earner will be earning more in a week than all of Aldershots incomings!

The scary world of football.

He's clearly upset that you spelled 'competitive' wrong.

Competative fixture? 1989, Freight Rover Trophy, at the Rec, David Leworthy scored, as did Martin Hicks with a peach of a header from the edge of the area. Into his own net. We lost. I believe I've been to the last 4 competative fixtures against Aldershot.

As long as they play in red, at a pitch on the park and have Aldershot in their name, that's close enough for me.

Err, you said, and I quote, "what was the last Reading/Aldershot fixture you attended". No mention of "Town"

No mix up, not on my part at any rate. You've even quoted yourself not mentioning Town in your response. So have another go, I think it's you getting your clubs mixed up

clutch at straws. the central point still remains that having a "rivalry" with a club(as it exists) you have never played is pathetic.and that counts for both sides of the equation.

Not clutching at straws at all, I quoted that particular post because you'd missed off the Town and I knew I would get a reaction.
