Royal Rother
FinchOwl A smattering of the local saturday players(Binfield, W&E, Finch & Bracknell Town mostly) play in the Bracknell Sunday league, but not as many as used to.

Do you know who from Windsor plays on Sunday these days? Personally I'd be surprised if anyone getting a game in the CCL Prem team on Saturday then turned out on Sunday. The Reserves I suppose I could understand, in order to maintain fitness but not 1st teamers, and that's certainly evidenced by the conversations I've had.

No idea I am afraid. I don't recognise any of the names from the match reports. They would possibly play in the Thames Valley Sunday League anyway if they did, as that covers the Windsor area. Only contact I have with that is the occasional(1 and we get knocked out) Berks and Bucks Cup game

... managed our planned 'double' : good win for Burnham @ Rugby Town. They brought on one Ray Spence 2nd half - nice to see him give it a go (and be given a chance), back at this level - looked very lively - won a corner and dummied the defence at the near post, to leave Ryan Bird a free header for one of the goals. 8)
Bedworth v Chesham was more of a STEP03 stalemate but nice to tick off two of the more distant 'Southern' league grounds. :)

... remains to be seen of course - but I for one hope he gets a good spell there - doubt if he'll get that many starts straight off.

- on song and concentrating on the good parts of his game, he's brilliant to watch - he makes so many things happen around him.

Trouble is, locally, most teams know he has a very short fuse and often go out to ignite it - banking on the fact he'll talk himself into a dismissal or retaliate.

Might make an effort to get to The Gore tomorrow eve and see if they let him loose on Fleet Town. 8)

some other 'decent' games on this MW too -

Tonight: Hungerford v Abingdon United - Highmoor/IBIS host Marlow at Palmer Pk.

On Tue in the SL : Diddy v Nor Lye, Chertsey v Guildford, Godalming v Thatcham and Sluff v Rugby
Hellenic - Thame v Ascot and in the B&B Trophy Wok & Emm v Newbury & RTFC v Windsor.
CCL - Hartley W v Guernsey & Sandhurst v South Park

Don't think I'm saying he isn't good, along with SSK he's probably been the most dangerous player in and around Reading from the last 10-15 years (not that he's played all that time).

If he could've made the most of his talent he's have been playing league football I'm sure.

.... UPDATE from MW - Burnham 1-0 Fleet Town - Ray got a start - ran around to some good effect - though found it difficult to establish a good understanding with those around him but I'm sure it will come. Nearly created a few chances from nothing for himself - was subbed on 60'. Burnham won it with an injury time pen. Fleet Town played in the most disconcerting away kit I've seen in a long time - Yellow and Black DIAGONAL stripes!

...highlights from elsewhere on Tuesday:
RTFC lost 1-2 @ Scours in the B&B Trophy v Windsor - Wok & Emm bt Newbury 2-0 in the same competition.
Southern One Central
Sluff lost 2-3 v Rugby
Thatcham were edged 1-2 at Godalming - so closer than expected
Guildford won 3-1 at Chertsey
One South & West
Diddy bt Nor Lye 1-0
Hungerford pulled clear at the top on Monday night bt Ab Utd 2-0.
CCLP Hartley W lost 3-4 in a thriller v Guernsey ; 'Fizzers' (Sandhurst) were thumped 5-3 v South Park

Farnham Town 1-1 Wembley
Guernsey 1-1 Badshot Lea - Home side equalised on 90' crowd over 1100 - Guernsey allegedly had three goals ruled out by a 'dodgy' lino - I suspect it was unlikely to be an objectively written view from over on CCL FansFocus? :?

Four Of Clubs Dorking 1-2 Windsor - apparently two VERY late goals in this game - one for each side I think well beyond the 90'. No confirmed details yet.

Indeed. Going into stoppage time Windsor were 1-0 up only for Dorking to equalise. Straight from the kick off, Windsor scored the winner through Youth Team sub Chris Bernard to snatch the winner.

... yesterday's NL scores - bit of a mix for 'local' sides in the Vase - mostly poor - only Amersham, Ascot and Binfield left carrying the Berks/Bucks flags onwards. Though of course Frimley Green play this PM (and yes, I know that's in Surrey! ).

2-1 home win for Windsor. Good distance between us and the bottom 3.

VERY scrappy game last night. Windsor without Ben Harris after another red card last week. (Very good player at this level but a bit too much of the Young Rooney about him at the moment.)

Good to see Rob Bullivant back in goal - definitely a calming influence.

Both the last 2 games have seen the opposition skippers complimenting Windsor's young team on playing the game in the right way. One said could be Top 8, the other that we'll take points off the Top 5.

Not sure about that myself (I think there's a gulf between us and Top 5 tbh) but the team has come a long way in the last 3 months, that's for sure.
