Barry the bird boggler They are still in Admin aren't they? February will see a year in Admin won't it? Isn't that immediate liquidation if that happens?

I asked this a few posts back - they can apply for an extension, which they'll probably get as Birch can argue that a deal is close.

A bit of me hopes that they stay in admin all season and still go down. That means they'll start next season on with this season's 10 point deduction carried over and an additional 10 points if they are still in admin at the start of next season. A 20 pt deduction should see them in the conference and just deserts served all round.

Isnt there a March deadline with regards to the 10pt deduction? If they would have gone down anyway, that gets carried over til next season as happened with Leeds and Boston

(honest question) How did Luton end up with -30?

Surely Portsmouth have done bigger wrongs?

10 points for transfer shenanigans. 20 points for coming out of administration without agreeing a CVA. They got 10 points for going into Admin the previous season.

How many players do they have on their books now? I seem to recall seeing they had two at one point!

(doing some work myself): 18 apparently. Still with Brian Howard.

and so it goes on. Case adjourned again. By the time they stop the rot they would have been better off folding and starting their way up again when the shit first hit the fan.

I imagine they'll 'stop the bleeding' next season, though an Oxford style collapse into the Conference would be welcome.

Someone on their local newspaper website commented that this it the football equivalent of waterboarding :D

Relegation to L2 would be appropriate punishment I guess, but I'd want the league to keep to their word about restricting their spending for the next five years as a condition of their continued membership.

I was under the impression that wages are restricted to a proportion of turnover in L2 anyway, although will they technically be getting parachute payments next year?

Indeed, but as an Industrial & Provident Society the PST can't go into debt anyway - only secured loans, like the one on FP, are legally allowed.

League one is 60% of turnover allowed to be spend on wages where as League two is a lower %. I dream of a day the Championship and Premierleague and Champions league has the same!

This is better than any soap opera.

The 10 point deduction can't be far away now either.
