windermere_royal teams like San Marino have no place on the international stage, there should be a qualifying stage among the minnows just to qualify for the group stages

I actually disagree.

Even though San Marino haven't even scored for 4 years.

me too, not just 'cos Lux would obviously be one of the first to go.

Home to Azerbaijan tonight, I am not one of the faithful 1500 or so. I went to the last qualifying home game, which was 0-6 at home to Israel, just after drawing in Belfast and holding Portugal to 2-1. No logic at all.

0-0 last I heard.

Montenegro won 1-0

Is there really anyone who wouldn't rather see them in the World Cup finals?

well he did according to the WCQ site - and got booked injury time!

HRK just notched for Wales! :D

Sweaties down to 10 : Bellamy at his most popular as usual.

Hmm. The website I am using for up to date scores says Ragnar Sigurdsson, who plays for FC Copenhagen, scored them.

No, it was definitely Gylfi, unless he has a twin brother.

Part of me hoped San Marino would come back in the last 10mins and win 9-8 just for the lulz

poifeck

Haven't we had less possession in some games this season than San Marino managed when being beaten by England 8-0?

Why? who would you have in their place?

The emphasis on it being, WORLD cup QUALIFYING :?

That said, we'd have been better sending a total B team and playing a friendly against a champ side. Better preparation for Tuesday.

Thats the way the cookie crumbles

Would you have rather faced Brazil, Germany, Spain, Croatia in the qualifiers?

You could forget a trip to the finals

The likes of Andorra, Faroes and San Marino etc have as much right to take their chances as we do.

I agree, they are amateur players that get the chance of taking on some of the worlds best twice every qualification campaign that's much better than going out in a pre qualification campaign to Wales or someone.
