To:

“clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or movement or challenging an opponent for the ball.”

Brilliant work by FIFA. That's like, a lot clearer... or not, as English referee's feel.

I think/hope the second part of that is the crucial part.

It looks like they've addressed the farce we've had lately where the linesman doesn't flag until the offside player touches the ball.

It should now mean the moment you go for the ball, you'll be flagged offside.
