Clyde1998 If we're going to be really pedantic about this - Chester got 107 points last season (Pld 42; W35; D5; L3).

A. 35 Wins and 5 draws makes 110 points.
B. 35 Wins, 5 draws and 3 losses makes 43 games.

If we're going to be really pedantic about this...

If it's not Football League it has no credibility. We've got the record, one hundred and six...

Slightly rel8ed but just seen that Brentford have the best record of any European team over the last 14 games, with Juventus one point behind them. A bit  at that.

You get the feeling that if anyone's going to do it it'll come from league 1.

It's currently an FL record, if someone in League One or Two beat it, it's then only a Championship record and they get the FL record.

Leicester have won 8 in a row and are up to 63 points now. I'm worried. Here is a rundown of predictions for their fixtures (semi-serious only):

Leicester only need to drop 11 points, but I'm getting a little concerned with their current run

Based on their points per game so far, they'll get 105 - that's a bit close for comfort.

Remember we drew half our last 10 games. Once you're home and dry most teams ease up and start dropping more points. Leicester are 13 points ahead of Burnley and 10 clear of QPR. Give it another month and you'll see their results start to tail off a little as they realise they've done the job.

They'll finish somewhere around 103 - 97 I reckon. Although if they do make it then fair dos really, it'd be an awesome achievement.

Looked at the Championship table and looked at previous years. 5 of the last 6 seasons the team finishing in 3rd has had between 75-80 points. Based on that, if you look at Leicester who are top and consider if they get 81 points they are very likely to go up automatically then they can win 5 and lose 12 of their 17 game run in and still go up

Winning 5 in the last 17 games is 0.88 per game which is what Charlton have got so far this season and they are in the relegation zone.

boringly yours,

In our 106 season, after 29 games (the number of games that Leicester have played) we had 72 points - 6 points more than Leicester have now - a GD of +46 and were 9 points ahead of 2nd spot.

Our following 6 games only saw us take another 11 points (the 6th in that sequence was our defeat to Luton); therefore, if Leicester win their next 6 games they will be ahead of us by 1 point after the same number of games played........

If Leicester beat our record, it will be a fantastic achievement; hell, even getting close will be a great effort. Just goes to show how good we were in 05/06.

Good news about Leicester, but what do Watford have to do to help us out ?
Otherwise, only Leyton Orient drop anything so far this weekend

Burnley and Preston drop out after their draws with Bournemouth and Leyton Orient. Orient can now only match us. Brentford playing some worryingly imperious football in League One.
