genome Those players have quality. They are short of confidence and confidence is everything in football.

You have named 5 players who do have quality in them, (GK, 1 centre back, a midfielder and two strikers) which is pretty much the backbone of their team. Berbatov has gone, admittedly, so that's still a decent backbone though. I also don't think you can discount Berbatov as a quality player in their squad because he has now gone and not count Dempsey or Holtby because they have just arrived.

Bad form doesn't make a capable player automatically shite.

Of course you can not count Dempsey and Holtby, as the original point made was about Fulham dont deserve to be where they are as they have quality players.

Then you can't discount Berbatov as a quality player.

Merely one page back I said :

Berbatov - quality but gone.

Bad phrasing on my part, I wasn't saying you were denying Berbatov is a good player. My point is it doesn't really matter if he has gone now or not - he was there and playing so should be counted. The principle that you can't count Dempsey and Holtby because they were not here is kind of the same thing. You follow?

I think the backbone of their team has quality, and lack of confidence is affecting their team. Dempsey/Holtby definitely have quality so we'll see if that helps lift the squad.

Remember they've also signed Mitroglou and Heitinga

Di Matteo for the job if they don't give it to Monk.

First with the news on Laudrup btw. Another string to my bow. Sources come up trumps again. 8)

Credit to Cureton's Volley for calling that one.

Can't see Monk being the man to lead them forwards.
