England Football. Yes or No

by dan19 » 08 Sep 2014 21:31

"Unfortunately" I'm an avid England fan, before marriage, I was a regular at Wembley, saw most qualifiers, and been to 4 away games (unfortunately I had to have some "time out" from away games)
Sometimes I compare watching England to watching Reading, better on paper.
The current team are young, and personally I see this as a development squad.
A great deal of people can't stand watching England, or are bandwagon jumpers (much like when Reading reach the prem) so when OR if England do well/win something who of you are bandwagon jumpers/couldn't give a shhhihit/England through.and through?

Massive No for watching England from me.

I can't envisage a much more depressing experience than following England away. Christ, it's bad enough watching them at Wembley.

TBF it's not the team I have a problem with, although pretty much every England International is like watching Reading in the Playoffs. Full of hope but ultimately disappointing, every. single. time.

No, for me, it's the fans. Honestly, if you were tasked to set out to find a collection of the biggest oxf*rd, anti-social, deluded people you'd like to avoid on the planet, you'd be hard pressed to overlook a group of England fans.

From consistently booing other countries national anthems, to wrecking European capitals and singing Ten German Bombers, quite frankly I'd rather slam my bollox in a door than go to watch England.
