I'd actually be surprised if any games are called off due to frozen ground. Not been much frost about so far so it can't be too deep in the ground and the sun is very bright today....

here's this PM's fixtures in local NL - but pitch inspections are likely and late-call offs possible - so choose wisely:

Fixtures w/e Sat 13th Dec

FA Trophy 1st Round Proper

15 Aldershot Town v Burgess Hill Town
16 Weymouth v Havant & Waterlooville
17 Bishop’s Stortford v Torquay United
18 Lowestoft Town v Dover Athletic
19 Ebbsfleet United v Welling United
20 Wealdstone v Hayes & Yeading United
21 Wimborne Town v Oxford City
22 Weston Super Mare v Farnborough
23 Dartford v Solihull Moors
24 Woking v Eastleigh
25 Hemel Hempstead Town v Sutton United
26 Basingstoke Town v Gosport Borough
27 Bromley v Leiston
28 Forest Green Rovers v Didcot Town
29 Bristol Rovers v Bath City
30 Maidenhead United v Poole Town
31 Braintree Town v AFC Sudbury
32 Concord Rangers v Barnet

CONFN
Brackley Town v Leamington
CONFS
Boreham Wood v Staines Town
Chelmsford City v Eastbourne Borough

SOUTHP
Burnham v Hitchin Town
Frome Town v Slough Town
Hungerford Town v Cirencester Town
- Sluff, Chesham and Hungerford all picked up good away wins midweek - only Burnham faltered beaten 1-2 at Histon - Blues campaign further dented by a three point deduction for using ineligible player - they remain stuck in the bottom four with Frome Arlesey and Banbury.
SOUTH1C
Aylesbury United v Chalfont St Peter
Beaconsfield SYCOB v Northwood
Godalming Town v Barton Rovers
North Greenford United P-P Egham Town frozen pitch
Potters Bar Town v Marlow
Uxbridge v Leighton Town
SOUTH1S&W
North Leigh v Fleet Town
Wantage Town v Yate Town
- couple of big shocks midweek in this section: 1st & 2nd, level on points, were both beaten at home: - Merthyr 0-1 by Evesham and Stratford - whose big lead has evaporated - 0-3 by 4th placed Taunton. Diddy cashed in with an important 1-0 at the Loop over Cinderford and sit only two points behind. 'Railwaymen' not in league action this PM they have a Trophy tie at FGR.
Sadly the Freds were beaten heavily again 0-3 down at Clevedon - but they still have some daylight back to bottom two Bash & Bps Cleeve.

CCLP
Badshot Lea v Epsom & Ewell
Bedfont Sports v Guildford City
Camberley Town v Chertsey Town
Cove v Ashford Town (Middx)
- 1st host 2nd; with Molesey and Windsor hovering only 2 pts behind 'Ashtrees' and both with winnable games this PM themselves - though RPV are another oddly inconsistent bunch.
Knaphill v Colliers Wood United
Mole Valley SCR v Hanworth Villa
Molesey v Horley Town
Raynes Park Vale v Windsor
Spelthorne Sports v Hartley Wintney

Westfield v Frimley Green
CCL1
Banstead Athletic v Epsom Athletic
Chessington & Hook United v Worcester Park
Dorking v AFC Croydon Athletic @ Horley FC - subject to pitch inspection - but some news expected very soon about the Chicks returning to their own town to play - have been at loggerheads with Mole Valley Council over their town centre Meadowbank site for ages. latest 'noises' do imply they will need at least another years' groundsharing before they can 'go home' though.
Eversley & California PP Cobham - away sides' suspension has been extended to 31st Dec - give them time to re-group & rustle up a new playing squad : previous lot left en masse with the manager last month.
14:00 Farleigh Rovers v Sheerwater
Sandhurst Town v Bedfont & Feltham
Staines Lammas v Ash United
CCL Premier Cup
R2 Alton Town v Farnham Town

HELLP
Ardley United v Oxford City Nomads
Kidlington v Cheltenham Saracens - Kiddy will go top if (as expected) they can see off rock-bottom Sarries as H/I are in Cup action at Larges Lane.
Milton United v Brimscombe & Thrupp - saw Utd comfortably beat a very soggy looking Thatcham 3-1 at Waterside Pk on Tue this week. Not many other games scheduled in the Hellenic midweek but RTFC - the Kingfishers opponents in the Cup this AM - battered Shrivy 6-1 @ Scours and Holyport got a useful point at home to Ardley. Thame edged past an improving Ab Utd 3-2 at the ASM Stadium and have moved nicely (and mostly unnoticed) into 3rd place with games in hand.
On Wed night Binfield made the relatively long trip up to Cirencester and came back with a point after a 1-1 with WBT.

Newbury v Binfield
Shrivenham v Holyport
HELL1E
Finchampstead v Rayners Lane
Henley Town v Woodley Town
Old Woodstock Town v Brackley Town 'Dev'
Challenge Cup R2
Thame United v Headington Amateurs
Ascot United v Wokingham & Emmbrook
Reading Town v Thatcham Town

Supplementary Cup R1
Bracknell Town v Highmoor Ibis
Fairford Town v Abingdon United

WESSP
AFC Portchester v Winchester City
Folland Sports v Whitchurch United
Newport (IoW) v Andover Town

WESS1
Pewsey Vale v Team Solent
United Services Portsmouth v Ringwood Town
15:10 Andover New Street v Cowes Sports

...destination 'unknown' but more likely to be Camberley than Calabria
- youngest currently playing rugby (for the 'B' team) - school have a surfeit of Front Row in the 'A's and the 2nd String are struggling for numbers, so he says he's agreed to step down from the Firsts. Actually I believe him ; he is the most genuinely likeable and sociable of my three - probably cos he's a third - they are often the best!
Depends if he wants warmth, comfort and dodgy Burgers - in which case could be a Trophy Tie nearby.
- Wouldn't mind seeing if the Sh!ts come unstuck vs Burgess Hill ; who are roaring away and unbeaten at the top of their league - albeit STEP04 [Apparently they are the only unbeaten side in the top EIGHT levels of English football - their only defeat in all competitions to date has been at Conference side Dartdford in the FA Cup] - but the prices at the (w)Rec are usually a bit steep.

EDIT - s'pose I should grudgingly retract that:  seems today's prices are £12/£10 for Adults £7/£5 for concessions
Don't really have any 'new' ones for me above County level today, so don't mind him choosing - the last game on the list at New Street could be good for goals though.

Raynes Park Vale 0-5 Windsor

Pretty routine drubbing of a poor team on a sticky bobbly pitch. 2 (literally) open goals missed as well.

I have a new low in the grounds visited stakes after today.

NL Results w/e Sat 13th Dec

FA Trophy 1st Round Proper

15 Aldershot Town 0-1 Burgess Hill Town att 870
– got to this - plenty of time to spare – slightly confusing turnstile signs but we paid to stand on East Bank Terrace – new bar up the back of the ground now – looks like a portakabin sort of thing. Had youngest with me so didn’t bother going in. No-one sat in the newish Town End stand – not that many away fans either but made themselves heard – not difficult over a very muted home crowd. BHTFC held on to their proud record of only one defeat so far this season in all competitions – look very well-organised but even when they visibly tired late on, the Sh!ts didn’t possess the quality, skill or imagination to come remotely close to levelling - except for one injury time scramble, that saw a ball hoofed clear from right on the line - defender carried off for his efforts too.
No idea on this evidence how Brett Williams has scored the goals he has at his level.

16 Weymouth 1-1 Havant & Waterlooville
17 Bishop’s Stortford 0-5 Torquay United
18 Lowestoft Town 1-3 Dover Athletic
19 Ebbsfleet United 1-1 Welling United
20 Wealdstone 1-0 Hayes & Yeading United
21 Wimborne Town 0-3 Oxford City
22 Weston Super Mare 1-3 Farnborough
23 Dartford 2-0 Solihull Moors
24 Woking 2-0 Eastleigh
25 Hemel Hempstead Town 1-0 Sutton United
26 Basingstoke Town 2-2 Gosport Borough
27 Bromley 2-0 Leiston
28 Forest Green Rovers 2-2 Didcot Town - FGR led with two quick goals shortly after Ht but ‘Railwaymen’ hit back to level with two in the last 15’ – replay Tue night at The Loop.
29 Bristol Rovers 0-2 Bath City
30 Maidenhead United 2-1 Poole Town
31 Braintree Town 1-0 AFC Sudbury
32 Concord Rangers 0-0 Barnet

CONFN
Brackley Town 2-1 Leamington
CONFS
Boreham Wood 3-0 Staines Town
Chelmsford City 3-2 Eastbourne Borough

SOUTHP
Burnham 0-0 Hitchin Town
Frome Town 1-1 Slough Town
Hungerford Town 1-1 Cirencester Town
SOUTH1C
Aylesbury United 1-1 Chalfont St Peter
Beaconsfield SYCOB 0-0 Northwood
Godalming Town 0-2 Barton Rovers
Potters Bar Town 1-4 Marlow - two each for Whittingham and Barney
Uxbridge 1-1 Leighton Town
SOUTH1S&W
Cinderford Town 2-1 Stratford Town
Merthyr Town 6-0 Bashley
North Leigh 2-2 Fleet Town
Wantage Town 0-1 Yate Town - ‘og’ on the hour mark – is going to be a grim winter for Freds but at least the two sides below them both lost and each shipped half a doz. goals in the process.

CCLP
Badshot Lea 4-2 Epsom & Ewell
Bedfont Sports 3-6 Guildford City
Camberley Town 4-2 Chertsey Town
Cove 3-4 Ashford Town (Middx)
Knaphill
3-1 Colliers Wood United
Mole Valley SCR 3-2 Hanworth Villa
Molesey 3-0 Horley Town
Raynes Park Vale 0-5 Windsor
Spelthorne Sports P-P Hartley Wintney
Westfield {SEVEN} 7-3 Frimley Green
- Goal crazy in the top division here – 55 scored in in 9 games – including a rare defeat for leaders Cove at the hands of 2nd place Ashford – Camberley in 5th are well in touch too, with 2 games in hand.
CCL1
Farleigh Rovers 2-1 Sheerwater
Sandhurst Town 1-3 Bedfont & Feltham
Staines Lammas 1-2 Ash United
CCL Prem Cup Round 2
Alton Town 1-4 Farnham Town

HELLP
Ardley United 3-2 Oxford City Nomads
Kidlington 5-2 Cheltenham Saracens - as expected Kiddy take over top spot
Milton United 1-3 Brimscombe & Thrupp
Newbury 0-3 Binfield
Shrivenham 1-7 Holyport - good win for 'port but Shrivy looked to have self-destructed - 'sold' their best two players last week to Highworth and have now shipped 13 goals in two games.
- applicants for Promotion to STEP04 are: Flackwell Heath, Highmoor Ibis, Kidlington and Thame United: - not sure why neither Ascot nor Binfield have applied. Maybe 'Moles' think they are too far adrift to warrant splashing extensive dosh on upgrading yet? Possibly Yellamen's current budget won't stretch to requirements either - the proximity of "Brenda 'n Phil's" race-track could be an issue too..... :?
HELL1E
Finchampstead 3-3 Rayners Lane
Henley Town 2-2 Woodley Town
Old Woodstock Town 1-1 Brackley Town 'Dev'
Challenge Cup Round 2
Thame United 4-2 Headington Amateurs
Ascot United 1-0 Wokingham & Emmbrook
Reading Town 1-3 Thatcham Town
Supplementary Cup R1
Bracknell Town 2-5 Highmoor Ibis
Fairford Town 2-3 Abingdon United

WESSP
AFC Portchester 0-2 Winchester City
Folland Sports 0-0 Whitchurch United
Newport (IoW) 1-2 Andover Town

WESS1
Pewsey Vale 2-2 Team Solent
Andover New Street 3-1 Cowes Sports - maybe too many rough ferry crossings this month; from being unbeaten coming into December, Cowes have lost on their next two trips to the mainland - following a hefty defeat in the League Cup at Petersfield.
- most bewildering is this latest reverse at ANS - who were yet to register a win this season. They (New St) had also been ignominiously dumped out of nearly every lowly and otherwise cup competition they had entered so far – more often than not by much lower status clubs in the Hants leagues and below!

I was there and the Diddy lads were unbelievable

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq8NoaxAAqQ

Highlights but check out the non award of a penalty and red card in the 1st half, it happened just after Kamdjo had been sent off for a reckless lunge and would have put Diddy potentially 1 up against 9 men.

Even so incredible fightback and Jack Longford could have won it at the death but skied his chance, replay tonight at the Loop if any of you are a bit bored and fancy a football fix come on down tonight it should be a great night.

Amazing goal by Jon Parkin, who looks as if he has lost weight  or are the hoops just flattering? Well played Diddy and how was that not a pen? :o

yep mugged, to be fair to Parkin he's been the difference over the two games, i think he has lost a little bit of timber and he scored another great goal as part of a hat trick last night as sadly our little adventure ended 0-3. Bit harsh that scoreline, ironically the 2nd goal being a soft penalty which pretty much killed the game but overall Didcot again were excellent.

Back to the league on Saturday at home to Bridgwater.

Windsor 0-3 Molesey (Men against boys.)

I was hugely impressed by Molesey today. Strong all over the pitch, fast, fit, never gave us a moment to play our slick passing football and gave us a decent spanking.

I'll be very surprised if they don't win the league.

... hmmm 'Moles' have been perennial underachievers in this league since relegation to it back in 08/09 (I think): - this season's form would suggest they have power to burn up front; they are leading scorers by some distance. Did finish 3rd and then 5th a couple of seasons back but have slumped a bit since.
Have evidently improved at the back this term conceded a mere 19 - only behind Camberley (14) on meanest defence - but much like Flackwell and Highworth in the league next door - too often lose to sides they shouldn't.
Must confess I've not seen this current 'manifestation' yet - not a feasible midweek visit and they've not been nearby often enough in 14/15 to lure me out to catch up with them.
However, they are definitely well-placed to challenge the current front two: Cove and Ashford (Mx) - who I have seen a couple of times without being too impressed.
Ashford (Mx) are very accomplished but looked lazy - Cove have 'fight' in abundance and a sense of indomitability throughout the side but not much else that sets them apart as to why they are doing so well: - to stay with the comparison - a bit like Thame in the Hellenic - they are a good 'team'.
The Xmas period could see the top of the CCLP change yet - albeit the top 6 is starting to look rather strung-out.

Oxford City 2-0 Hyde - City up to 6th

SOUTHP
Banbury United 1-1 Chesham United
Burnham 0-1 Cirencester Town
Paulton Rovers 2-3 Hungerford Town
Slough Town 2-1 Dorchester Town
... still waiting for the fallout of Hereford's expulsion in the courts before the w/e - fairly sure it impacts Burnham who've already lost 3 points through player ineligibility - may lose a further three if their 5-2 win at Edgar Street is 'wiped'.
SOUTH1C
Chalfont St Peter 1-3 Uxbridge
Egham Town 4-3 Beaconsfield SYCOB
Hanwell Town 2-0 Godalming Town
Marlow 1-2 Aylesbury United
Royston Town 2-1 North Greenford United
SOUTH1S&W
Didcot Town 2-2 Bridgwater Town - Railwaymen fight back for a point having trailed 0-2 just before the break.
Fleet Town 1-0 Sholing
Wantage Town 0-5 North Leigh - six defeats on the bounce for the 'Freds' now and a crowd of only 60 odd doesn't bode well.

CCLP
Ashford Town (Middx) 2-1 Raynes Park Vale
Chertsey Town 0-1 Hartley Wintney
Colliers Wood United 1-2 Cove
Frimley Green 4-5 Horley Town
Hanworth Villa 1-1 Westfield
Windsor 0-3 Molesey
CCL1
AFC Croydon Athletic 3-3 Worcester Park
Alton Town 2-5 Sandhurst Town - big win for rock-bottom 'Fizzers' - climb to within a point of Chess 'n Hook but have played a staggering 12 games more !
CB Hounslow United 7-0 Sheerwater
Dorking 1-1 Farleigh Rovers
Eversley & California 2-1 Ash United

HELLP
Binfield 0-2 Flackwell Heath - not the result the Moles would have wanted; especially with Kiddy slipping up badly just above them. Stay third on GD from 'Yellamen' and Thame. Flackwell gaining revenge for their only league defeat back in late Sept - have now won 9 of the last 10 and show no signs of being worn down by a fixture pile-up - Heathens are only 4 points behind Moles with EIGHT games in hand and are still involved in the Vase (as indeed are Highworth and Ascot).
Bracknell Town 3-2 Oxford City Nomads
Brimscombe & Thrupp 1-6 Highmoor Ibis - H/I benefit from Highworth's big win at Kiddy to re-take top-spot.
Holyport 2-1 Milton United
Kidlington 0-3 Highworth Town

Reading Town 1-2 Ardley United
Shrivenham 0-0 Cheltenham Saracens
Wootton Bassett Town 1-1 Abingdon United

Word at Stag Meadow was that the attendance was well short of that which has been released. The general concensus being that there were at least a hundred fewer. As for the game, Windsor should have had it wrapped up at half time. Too many gilt edged chances went begging and had we gone in 4-0 up, no-one could have complained. Thankfully, two second half goals sealed the points which is the key thing. Too many times the ball was played without any zip. Build up play was way too pedestrian and we started with our 4th choice striker (Dan Molloy) while George Gould froze on the bench. There was a distinct lack of hunger shown by Windsor which was extremely disappointing as Guildford were there for the taking.

Talking of Guildford, they have undergone a huge restructure not too dissimilar to Windsor a couple of years back by withdrawing the playing budget. Kevin Raynor and his merry band of thugs have now buggered off and have rolled up at Croydon. I can't see their committee tolerating the ill discipline associated with Raynor and co for long. As for Guildford, they never gave up and even though totally outclassed did not resort to any thuggish nonsense that would have occurred in the past.
