Early kick-off, on TV in Wales and live on BBC website, not an especially big PL team....was always going to happen. Shame.

BBC have picked Preston/Sheffield Utd V Cambridge/Man. Utd as their live game on the Monday night for the next round.

I would love it if Cambridge won.

I wonder which ex Liverpool fc players as pundits will be in the studio for that?

You're right Kes, why go with the LFC mafia when you can have a nice young man like this providing insight

FIFA looking to get West Ham thrown out of the FA cup due to "injured" Sahko not being able to play for Senegal, but being able to score against Bristol City (who would be reinstated).

If FIFA rule he shouldn't have played then given he scored the winner, I'm not sure the FA would have any other recourse, bar having them replay the fixture.

I don't think, particularly at this point in time, that the FA are going to take insane edicts from FIFA without serious contest.

Are there actually rules against refusing to play fort our country in favour of your club? What right, then, do players have to strike for non-payment, as they sometimes do?

It's a bonkers attempt by FIFA at petty revenge over the FA.

I remember reading somewhwere that International FAs take predecence ofver clubs for FIFA ratified International tournaments so if you withdraw from a squad due to injury, then you are basically ineligible to play for the duration of the tournament, the arguement being that if you are fit enought to lay for your club, you should have been fit enough to play for your country.

And it would be so out of character for West Ham to break any regulations, wouldn't it?

And remind us what happened last time?

I don't think West Ham are about to be kicked out of the FA Cup.
