On the subject of keepers; Japan beat Holland 2 - 1 this morning to finalise the last 8 but their keeper let in, what turned out to be, a last minute consolation goal that a 4-year-old should have stopped. One of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

Yep, have no idea how she managed to let that go in!

If it had been men's football you'd have assumed the keeper had money on a 2-1 scoreline.

England 1 - 0 up against the Canucks. Nice strike, to be fair (Jodie Taylor).

Make that 2 - 0. (Bronze) :D

Since conceding the second the Canucks have been poring on the pressure and have, certainly, looked the most likely.

England haven't been at the races despite being 2-0 up. Canada right back in the race with that goal. All them.

Canada's keeper is quality. England really need to start keeping the ball and not just going straight towards goal no matter how bad the opportunity is.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality.

What a fantastic performance! Gritty and disciplined and Canada did not really create anything in the second half. Japan may be a step too far, but the semis are a great achievement.

Japan v USA repeat final for me.

Dogged performance with two bits of quality finishing and not much else. The officiating was terrible though. Freekicks for absolutely nothing on a regular basis. Lenient on cards in the extreme.
