Royalist Maidenhead cup game on a thursday night due to tv. 33 grand from those nice chaps at BT and a 1000+ crowd i suspect. Not to be sniffed at.

When are the replays, are they allowed to play them next week as expected or do FIFA/UEFA say no as they want everyone to be watching all the pointless international friendlies?

No idea what 'safe' capacity would be these days and with tv crews in etc. Personally high 1000's would be what i'd take a stab at but you might well be right.

Royal Bison Thanks guys, will take a look. Only suggested Salisbury as i'm the other side of the forest, so Salisbury is probably slightly closer than Brockenhurst, will take in a few though and see which do the best pies!

...well if you are heading up towards Salisbury that also brings into scope Romsey - short trip up from jn 3 of the M27 and en route to Sarum you also have Downton across on the A338 (not sure about Pies - only did bacon Rolls when I went but that was a B/H Monday morning KO)

...and the Ray Mac Stadium is well out to the north of the City; so you could always settle for Laverstock & Ford on it's south-eastern fringes close to the junction of the A36 and A30 or drive across to the western edge to Wilton for Bemerton Heath Harlequins - very nice ground just north off the A36.

...and in answer to the 'Magpies' capacity poser :

Royalist No idea what 'safe' capacity would be these days and with tv crews in etc. Personally high 1000's would be what i'd take a stab at but you might well be right.

... I put this on the FA Cup thread - according to NL Directory Maidenhead's official capacity was 4000 but I think the new stand and generally some tidying up has brought this down to a current level of 3250 (incl 500 seats?) - with possible segregation that may have to come down further.

Wouldn't fancy trying to get served in 'Stripes' - Diddy had to close their bar (FA Rules & Regs) - and the food/drinks queue can get really cramped over in that congested little corner even with crowds of three figures (their average this season is 440 - slightly up on 14-15 level).
Expect they'll have to lay on something grander for the Cup replay?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...plenty of action around local NL tonight - fuller review tomorrow (Wed) : main news is big 5-1 win in CCL Premier for Windsor v bottom club Cove though the scores were level at 1-1 going into the last 20' mostly due to poor finishing by the hosts - late hat-trick for Windsor sub reportedly?
...elsewhere in that division Hartley Wintney finally dropped points held 1-1 at Bedfont Sports.
I was down in Div One at Eversley & California who battered the 'Fizzers' 5-2 in a very entertaining game - Sandhurst were always pressing but missed two or three chances for every one E&C took. This win puts the 'Boars' back on top of Div One on Goals scored from Worcester Park and one goal better off than CB Houslow
..proper round-up of midweek NL later......
I suspect stripes will become the media centre for pre/post match interviews so will be closed for all but VIPs. Pretty sure Port Vale have a iffy reputation these days trouble wise so will be interesting to see how its policed!
Windsor 5-1 Cove
Cove looked young and somewhat out of their depth most of the game.
Windsor missed so many chances with Barry Dunbar (scored 6 in the last 4 games) unfortunately having a bit of a 'mare in front of goal - another day he'd have bagged 3 or 4.
Having been so profligate it was not a great surprise when Cove pegged it back to 1-1 mid way through the 2nd half on one of their rare advances into Windsor territory. But that stung us into action and, having replaced Dunbar with Jack Banks (1st game for a year or more after only a few sub appearances in the past) he proceeded to bag a quick fire hat-trick, much to everyone's surprise, with some neat and precise finishing.
With Hartley Wintney dropping points last night, a title challenge is still a possibility.... (Ahem) :wink:
...yeah and Guildford City's blip has occurred just before you welcome them to Stag Meadow this Saturday.
...admittedly you are only 16 points adrift heading into a busy Nov/Dec - two games upcoming against Hartley W will go some way to setting out your potential - though one of these is in the Vase on the 21st and the next at their gaff on the 5th Dec. Before that you have RPV & Chess 'n Hook - both games you'll need to win to stay in touch.
That's followed by a visit from Horley on the 8th, who have wobbled slightly too but did put 6 past you in October - so quick chance of payback.
No way are we good enough for a promotion challenge.
Nowhere near Top 6 either if I'm honest.
...soz a bit tardy with the promised round-up ... mentioned Hartley & Windsor's results above alreay and my jaunt down to Eversley .... elsewhere this midweek:
Monday :
- Hungerford trailing 0-4 at H/T at home to Nor Lye in the Southern League Cup, fought back to level and win 4-1 on pens
- Beaconsfield SYCOB progressed to the S-F of the B&B Senior Cup 2-1 over Aylesbury Utd - SYCOB drawn to host 'Freds' or Aylesbury in the S-F
- Highmoor/IBIS lost 0-1 at Palmer Pk to league leaders Thatcham in the B&B Trophy 1st Round ## Q-F draw below
Tuesday
NAT Woking 1-1 Braintree
NATS Oxford City 1-3 Havant & W - minor shock for 2nd placed City losing to lowly 'Hawks'.
SOUTH1S&W Tiverton Town 5-1 Didcot Town - :shock: 'Railwaymen' evidently 'buffered' by their efforts vs Exeter at the w/e and facing a long journey mid-week, shipped three in the last 5' - having had two goals ruled out for offside themselves - losing Dutton-Black to a Red card - albeit 'Tivvy' are well in the mix for a top five finish.
SL Cup Marlow 3-6 (Six) Slough Town 2 goals for Harris
B&B Cup Q-F Burnham 1-3 Chesham - 'Generals' play at home, by sometime in mid-January, vs winners of the Magpies/Dons Q-F which is still to be arranged.
B&B Trophy Round One Ab Utd 1-2 Binfield
Hellenic Premier League - 'Sumas' walloped 0-5 at Henley by Highworth; Kidlington got an impressive 3-0 at Thame to stay well in touch with the top two.
Berks & Bucks Trophy Quarter Finals - ties to be played by 22/01/16
Windsor v Newport Pagnell Town
Flackwell Heath FC v Thatcham Town FC
Ascot United v Binfield
Holmer Green v Milton United
...will let youngest choose our destination - though he won't return from School Rugby match nr Newbury 'til close to 13:00h so limited range. He'll opt for somewhere with food - which restricts it further - probably Cherrywood Rd or one of the local Southern League clubs that he's not been to yet.
- tempted slightly by Boreham Wood vs Chester in National League - but there's often aggro there, when the Norf Lahnden 'big three' (Spuds/Arse/Wet Sham) aren't in action of a w/e - seems they often gravitate to larger NL clubs in the area and particularly B.Wood or B.Stortford
Ticketing details from the 'Magpies' site (on sale from tomorrow Monday 16th) - not spotted any confirmed capacity figure yet - will be around 3k max I expect - with Vale getting about 600?
Adults £12 Concessions £6 - Vale got the Bell St end - resists obvious temptation for cheap smut :twisted:
34 Canvey Island 0-2 Metropolitan Police
35 Hastings United A-A Merthyr TownAbandoned on 45 mins - waterlogged - 'Martyrs' 2 goals up but down to 10 men
36 Bury Town 1-1 Herne Bay
FAV 1 Plymouth Parkway 6-0 Blackfield & Langley
NAT
Kidderminster 2-0 Aldershot
Woking 2-5 Macclesfield
NATN
AFC Fylde 2-2 Brackley Town
NATS
Bath City 1-3 Oxford City
Bishop's Stortford 0-2 Sutton United
Concord Rangers 5-0 Basingstoke Town :( 0-0 at HT
Dartford 1-1 Maidstone United
Eastbourne Borough 1-2 Ebbsfleet United
Gosport Borough 1-0 Weston-Super-Mare
Havant & Waterlooville 3-1 Maidenhead United
Hayes & Yeading Utd 0-5 Chelmsford City
Margate 2-6 Whitehawk
St Albans City 1-0 Wealdstone
Truro City A-A Hemel Hempstead Townfloodlight failure – 'Tudors' not a happy bunch
04 ISTHP
Farnborough 2-1 Wingate & Finchley
SOUTH1C
Arlesey Town 4-1 Fleet Town
Egham Town 1-1 Beaconsfield SYCOB
- Was at this with youngest – nice old NL style ‘Stadium’, lots of cover incl obligatory rusting tatty but adequate seated stand – good hot food outlet and comfy but simple clubhouse back outside the turnstiles.
SYCOB had the upper hand for long periods, driven on by ex-Royals kiddie Charlie Losasso – threaded a great pass through the retreating Sarnies defence for the equaliser but got crocked in the same moment and didn’t re-emerge for the 2nd Half. Egham gradually forced their way back on top but SYCOB defended well and merited the point.
Godalming Town 1-0 AFC Rushden & Diamonds
Leighton Town 0-1 Chalfont St Peter
SOUTH1S&W
Bashley 0-8 {EIGHT} North Leigh - hardly surprising
Bridgwater Town 4-1 Burnham
Wantage Town 0-4 AFC Totton – ‘Freds’ caved in after half-time and sink to 2nd bottom with Burnham’s capitulation at Bridgwater – Manager Daniel Barry resigned last week – interim ‘team’ in charge – new guy will have a lot of work on his hands but at least they’ll be OK to finish above Bashley unless the new Forest outfit pack it in under the weight of constant hammerings.
Winchester City 2-1 Shortwood United
CCLP
AFC Hayes 2-2 Chertsey Town
Ashford Town (Middx) 4-1 Redhill
Bedfont Sports P-P Cove - Cove unable to raise an XI :o
Camberley Town 5-0 Farnham Town
Chessington & Hook United P-P Horley Town waterlogged
Hanworth Villa P-P Raynes Park Vale
Hartley Wintney 4-0 Westfield
Knaphill 1-1 Epsom & Ewell
Spelthorne Sports 2-1 Colliers Wood United
Sutton Common Rovers 1-0 Badshot Lea
Windsor 1-1 Guildford City
CCL1
Ash United 2-1 Dorking Wanderers Res
CB Hounslow United 2-2 Cobham
Eversley & California 2-0 Dorking
Frimley Green 4-0 Farleigh Rovers
Sheerwater 3-1 Epsom Athletic
South Park Res P-P Banstead Athletic
Staines Lammas 1-2 Abbey Rangers
Worcester Park 3-1 Bedfont & Feltham
B&B Intermediate R3
Sandhurst Town 0-2 Westwood Utd
HELLP
Abingdon United 3-2 Flackwell Heath
Ardley United 6-4 Bracknell Town
Binfield 6-0 Highmoor-Ibis
Brackley Town Saints {SEVEN} 7-2 Brimscombe & Thrupp
Longlevens AFC 3-2 Wokingham & Emmbrook
Lydney Town 0-3 Ascot United
Milton United 0-5 Kidlington
Oxford City Nomads P-P Highworth Town
Thatcham Town 1-2 Royal Wootton Bassett
Tuffley Rovers 1-2 Thame United
- Few big shocks at the upper end of the table with unexpected defeats for Thatcham and Flackwell against lower opposition and a huge reverse for Highmoor/IBIS at inconsistent Binfield. ‘Saints’ drubbing of Brimscomb was a quite a surprise too, following 6 straight defeat and 27 goals conceded.
- Kiddy and Ascot the main beneficiaries at the top – with Ascot getting closer in fourth and Kidlington leap-frogging the others to take the lead.
HELL1E
Chalfont Wasps P-P Henley Town
Chinnor P-P Rayners Lane
Headington Amateur's {EIGHT} 8-0 Old Woodstock Town
Holyport 2-4 Bicester Town
Hello all trust you are all well
Basically been to all of Didcot's games this year apart from the Exeter one because i was stuck in Sharm-elSh*thole - How's ya luck!?
Was appalling on Tuesday but a 1-0 win from a game that should never have been played, it's frustrating following Diddy a bit because we had a better side last year and keep losing our best players, we've got absolutely no forwards but they're an honest bunch and a good bunch and it's generally been fun so far. Think we'll be top 10 but our lack of fire power will stop us making the playoffs.
1-2 early 2nd half goal after the defence lost track of the ball in the box.
Edit - Now 1-3 and probably tie over.
