Why was Costa not sent off for that dive? Clear 2nd yellow if it wasn't a free kick.

I wonder how Kes will try to deny that Swansea's pen was justified.

Terrible decision for Swansea's 2nd goal though - clear foul on Cahill.

Aaand Costa scores despite the fact he shouldn't be on the pitch.

Enjoyable second half. Shame the Swans couldn't hold on, but I'll take the draw,

Not a Chelsea fan, but I think Swansea were a bit lucky to still have 11 men on the pitch.

Correct.

1)Amat should have been sent off for two yellows. He commited so many fouls.
2)The pen was a clear pen for Swansea
3)Clear as clear can be foul on Cahill for Swansea's 2nd goal. Marriner and the other officials will be embarrassed by that one.
4)Leroy Fer should have been sent off. Already on a yellow, he went on to commit another 3 fouls.
5)(For Genome) - It was a foul on Costa, he was caught, but I admit he didn't help himself with theatrics.
6)Royal Rother - I think you need to have a look at yourself wanting a player to get a broken leg.

Excellent entertainment, as are most games with Costa - there is nothing like a pantomime villain to get irate about. There is nothing hidden about him as well, so refs shouldn't fall for his tricks, and there is room for players of his sort: I had rather have Costa in the premiership than any number of the expensive strikers who aren't as good as Pogrebnyak which every team seemed to buy in the summer - Swansea were already playing with ten men for most of the game today whatever you might think should have happened with second yellow cards.

Everton look to be heading back to being a top 6 challenger again, and big Rom back amongst the goals will help, especially now they looked to have sorted out the defensive shambles they had under Martinez.

Worrying times for Sunderland already. SSN this morning reporting that it's now the last 4 seasons (including this one) that Sunderland have failed to win one of their first 4 games.

Y'know I think I would probably prefer to support Sunderland, who flirt with relegation every year and survive at the last moment, than perennial mid-tablers like West Brom or Stoke. It's more exciting, victories although rarer are sweeter.

Though it appears Stoke are trying their best to get in on it this year.

I do genuinely think mid to lower half in the PL is about the worst place to be as a fan. At least in the lower leagues each season could be wildly different so hope isn't far away, you have a more realistic 6th place to go for and you have either 6 or 7 new teams coming into the division each season to freshen things up

With someone like West Brom, once you have had a couple of seasons of exciting big name players coming in opposition teams what do you have to look forward to? 14th place again?

No. Just pointing out they got off to a poor start last season too. Which you obviously didn't know.

For some reason every season Stoke are always that team i think can break into top 7 (a la Southampton) but never really do.

Brosef Stalin https://cdn-e2.streamable.com/video/mp4/ebfe.mp4

No way he's in control of that. Definite foul.

The view in the from the other side of the pitch shows, to me at least, that he is reasonably in control of the challenge and that he doesn't go in studs up either. It looks to me like he takes the ball with his instep having turned his foot at the last moment (see 22 secs onwards in the video).

Ironic that Pep moved Hart on in preference for keepers that are more comfortable on the ball and then he goes and does that though. What an awful couple of touches.

West Ham in complete meltdown it appears

Going 3-0 down to West Brom at HT is even funnier than their European 'adventure,' blowing a 2-0 lead against Watford, and all of their stadium problems

Don't know why but would be very happy with them getting relegated this year. Sure it won't happen but would be fun if it did.

Stoke have conceded 4 goals in 6 of the last 10 league matches.
