double d
Winston Biscuit Chelsea (-1) & Celtic (-1) - 5.3/1

Chelsea  currently getting battered.

Mental first 38 minutes. Arsenal should be 3-0 up by now. You just know these misses will come back to haunt them.

On Bet365.

Reading to win Championship outright: 17/1
Reading to win promotion: 5.5/1

Before the Fulham game our promotion odds were longer than this. We were 6/1 even though we just had 2 teams between us and the Premier League. Now we have 23 teams trying to stop us and our odds are shorter.

Anyone think any of these would be a good bet? I don't think we have enough goals and creativity in us to win enough matches to take the title. But I fancy us a little bit for promotion. But why are our odds for promotion shorter now than pre play offs? Were Fulham that highly fancied?

No, 11/2 is an awful bet. We'll be one of the favourites and rightly so, but that price is too short.

You are comparing apples with pears re the playoff odds. 11/2 are the odds offered that over the course of the season, we will amass more points than most, and then get promoted.

6/1 to go up when our first game was Fulham away is no surprise - our away form was patchy and Fulham's recent form very good. I dare say those odds tumbled to 3/1 or so after the first leg.

Because of top flights shenanigans last year, it has inspired me to start a 10ner to a grand challenge.

I am going to choose 1 game a week and try and win on the team and make a grand from it.

Any suggestions for the first team? Like the look of forest green rovers vs Barnet at the moment. I know FGR really well and they have a lot of ££££ behind them and historically conference teams always do well in this league

Yeah I have tried reading that and it's baffling me.

If I was to put 5ver on forest green at evens on betfair, what else do I need to Do?

In the spirit of the challenge, put the the 5ver on too, for a start.

Oh. I changed it to a 5ver. Tenner is too high risk at this early stage. I am going to do 5 to 100.

The other day we were 50/1 for the title on Black Type (relatively new bookie). Not sure if that price is still available but ridiculous value considering you could make a guaranteed profit by laying us on the exchange where odds were lower.

Opening day is always a bit of a lottery but I like the look of us to win to nil at 9/2 - odds imply a %chance of 18%, I'd put it at about 26% myself and us to win at about 39%, slice of value there IMO.

Ah the feeling of a last minute goal screwing your bet up. One thing I dont miss about football.

I had Forest green blow a 2 goal lead to screw mine

Won't be doing that again.

Are there any similar situations to free kicks in other sports

i.e. A situation where scoring probability is increased
