I think Bracknell is another example of the positive things that can happen to a club when money is invested in the right way.

Seems they are getting gates of around 250 every time I look, which in turn means they can pay the most wages in the division.

I have paid one visit there recently, and it does look as if they would have no chance of upping the ground grading at Larges Lane, should it ever be required. Simply not enough room.

Are we all off to Maidenhead this weekend given that the Royals aren't playing till Monday night?

Long term Bracknell fan I know has mixed feelings about their increased spending over the last 18 months. Also says although they have great facilities off the pitch, capacity has been compromised. They need 3k for Southern Leagu above

Sorry, the end (above) is a bit unclear - when will they need 3,000? And why?

Wasnt there a controversial thing that happened a few years ago where a team got expunged at the end of the season, which made one team who beat them twice lose 6 points and drop from 2nd to 4th to lose out on automatic promotion? Iirc there were loads of appeals so nobody knew who went up ages after the season ended

Burnham 0 Tuffley 2.

Close game settled by a first half o.g and a second half pen. A bit debatable apparently but I couldn’t see from where I was stood. Burnham reduced to 10 men for a silly challenge bringing a 2nd booking, there was no contact but if there was it would have been a straight red.

Chris Abbott and Jock from the now defunct Henley are helping out around the club and are actively involved in bringing in new players for the rest of the season.

Royal Rother Sorry, the end (above) is a bit unclear - when will they need 3,000? And why?

Sorry my post seems to have got chopped. Ground grading for Southern League One need potential to increase capacity to 2k, then 3k for Southern League Premier

Often interesting to find out what non league players are paid and how much it varies. In National South a player from Chippenham Dave Pratt is due to move to Wealdstone with a weekly wage north of £800 per week.

All rumour so far. Wealdstone have not yet confirmed despite what Chippenham & their fans have said.

Would put it stronger than a rumour as Chippenham have confirmed he's left. The issue is the money being paid for a part time player.

That's about £40k p.a.

For an NLS player?

Are Wealdstone full time then?

The Chippenham chairman is now saying that the social media money speculation rumours have no foundation.

There is little doubt that the other players at Chippenham know what he is on and what Wealdstone have offered him. Wealdstone players will also know what he's been offered. There are very few secrets in the dressing rooms re players wages.

One the one hand semi pro contracts at that level tend to only be for 38 weeks (i.e. no money in close season). On the other players only tend to talk in net figures.

- got to this - originally heading for RWBT but had forgotten/missed news re closures jn 12-13   ... so turned round and headed back east then south down M3 and a short nip along the M27. 'Jam Boys' are in a terrible state on the field but some comfort I suppose was the significant portion of a surprisingly large crowd of over 100 were visiting Whitchurch fans.

32 Dartford 1-1 Boreham Wood
- Trawled up near the top end of the M40 and beyond Coventry to Nuneaton Town (formerly known as Borough) – reformed/re-branded in 2008; still rather confusingly displaying ‘Boro’ on the front of the programme. Chants suggest the fans still have a preference for the former guise too.
- Barrow from the level above, albeit near the bottom, were bigger and uglier at the mucky bits of the game and finally grabbed a slightly undeserved winner on about 91’ to progress to Round Two (last 32). Saved a 0-0 for us and a replay and a 400 mile round trip for others - I s’pose.
- Tidy enough ground for STEP02 – large pitch-side bar and club-shop – crowd officially only 415 - approx 200 under their average

Went to Dunstable v Basingstoke. Quite an odd game. Basingstoke won 6-0 but it wasn't really a one-sided game. Dunstable just played a high back line that got caught out time and time again. Basingstoke could easily have had 10, thanks to defending that was on par with a set of traffic cones, but not quite as mobile.
