Snowflake Royal Any club like Bournemouth that doesn't tie everyone into relegation release and wage reduction clauses deserves everything they get.
I mean, when you see the trouble it causes big and previously established clubs like Newcastle, Leeds, Villa etc across the last 20 years, it's almost criminally negligent for a tiny club punching well above it's weight.

So with that sale, the loss of his wages and the parachute payment for next season they only need to find another £25m to cover their wages. The average revenue in the Championship excluding parachute payments is £27m a year.

From Despair To Where? To be fair, that was the most up to date figure I could find and it was 2 years old and included Villa, Wolves and Blunderland.

From Despair To Where? There's definitly a second glass ceiling forming between The Championship and League 1.
Those figures may indeed be wrong and there is the proviso that at the time of publication, Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday (opposite ends of the financial spectrum, I'd imagine) had not published accounts. Bolton were obviously a compete basket case at the time and Wednesday were too busy cooking the books.

Sanguine Well, this is interesting. Football league clubs have voted to implement a total salary cap of £2.5m for League One and £1.5m for League Two for the 2020-21 season - agreement also to restrict squad size to no more than 20 players over 21 years of age. Proposal in front of Championship clubs is apparently for a cap of £20m, but this hasn't been voted on yet.
