Didn’t manage to get near to our first choice of the day
![Evil or Very Mad ](./images/smilies/icon_evil.gif)
- *&^%ing roadworks in Bracknell cut short our ambitious attempts to reach Bexhill – that and the Garage just past John Nike being 'open' but having no pumps available – no signage warning of this - meant I had to wait to re-join the queuing traffic & then do a longer diversion to find fuel (Sainsbury's at next jn) by which time we'd have been over 20' late according to SatNav.
- Weaved my way out of Hanworth to the south via Crowthorne - Frimley etc - down past Godalming/Haslemere and ended up much nearer home than intended @ Southern Combination League Division One:
Midhurst & Easebourne 4-0 Hailsham Town
- Pleasant enough ground set high in the South Downs a few miles into West Sussex.
- Virus conditions meant Track & Trace at entrance – taken verbally or scanned with the right technology :
- Table service at the small clubhouse bar which only stocked bottled lager/cans Guinness and no food currently (which seemed to include Bovril or Soup)
- Game settled by a straight Red for a poor challenge where upon the hosts cantered to an easy 4-0 win.
- Journey back through downpours of biblical proportions especially north of Camberley – eased off a bit beyond Arborfield - indoors just after 19:00h
