I just do not get why fans and players seem so different

The games are being postponed because players have contracted a very nasty, very transmissible virus which being vaccinated does not prevent anyone from testing positive.
Youncurrently have no idea whether it’s the vaccinated or unvaccinated that have tested positive

Have a two week break in English football now to give players the chance to have the vaccine. Then after the restart any matches getting called off due to a covid outbreak automatically gives the other team a walkover 3-0 victory.

To reduce the severity if infections which reduces the number of sick days lost, which reduces the impact on the economy which reduces the impact on everybody's lives. It also reduces the number of hospitalizations which in turn reduces the impact on every other area of the NHS which reduces the impact on other health outcomes which reduces the number of sick days lost which reduces the impact in the economy which reduces the impact on everybody's lives which means we can recover from this quicker and stronger and get back to some semblance if "normality".


It also reduces the number of people that die who otherwise wouldn't.

I.e its the right thing to do and benefits everyone.

Problem with that is you can be double jabbed and boosted and still get Covid.

Good point. You can postpone if 75% of the players with covid have had at least 2 jabs, otherwise 3-0 walkover. If both teams have non-vacced players meaning the game can't go ahead then it goes down as a 3-0 loss to both so no points and +3 on goals against.
