You are a traitor to the queen and to the flag

It does sound more and more (journalistic as well as personal insight from fans) as though the fans were paying the price of the dreadful behaviour of so-called fans at Wembley last year.

Loafer Absolutely baffling how people want a British team to fail  :|

And are actively wanting a Spanish team to win

You aren't real fans and shouldn't be saying this. Probably the same people crying when we lost to Italy in the final of the euros.

Very odd behaviour tbh

Supporting or not supporting a club has absolutely fvck all to do with what country you come from particularly these days when clubs are made up of players from all over the world.

If a British club makes a semi final or final and plays a foreign team, I'd always want the British team do well and win

Same with Any sport

Actively supporting another team or country is oxf*rd baffling and quite frankly pathetic behavior

What if an English club with no English players, played a non-English club with 11 English players?

I'd vote for a draw.

The clubs don't represent their country and are filled with players from around the world - so wanting a club you have no afflilation to to win just because they happen to be based in the same country as you is in many ways just as weird.

Are people not able to just enjoy a game of football without actively having to support a club in it? The only way I would care who won the CL Final is if Reading or Eintracht somehow made it.

+1, leave that to the Scotch. It's just an inferiority complex.

You would, but that's not meaning to say that everyone would, or should for that matter. I wanted Liverpool to win as I want English clubs to succeed coming from here, but I wouldn't say that everyone should want Liverpool to win for the same reasons, and I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep in Liverpool won/lost.

It's similar to saying that every fan should support the club that is nearest to them locally, just because they live there. Certainly not applicable to me, or many others in the UK either.
