Brentford did nothing apart from score in the 5th minute of 4 minutes added on

...following De Ligt being forced off the field by the ref due to attend to an injury (was knee'd in the head)

Perfectly correct decision by the ref with the player bleeding profusely to the head.
Rather than blame the ref Ten Hag should have directed his anger at his defenders for not organising themselves properly for a corner.

I do not have a problem with the decision. Perhaps he could have waited until after the corner and blown the whistle for halftime.

The players need to learn the dark arts a bit better. City players would have gone down in the box and delayed the game long enough.

Might h8watch the LFC v Chelsea game later

Shocking decision that. The keeper has to physically push Bernardo away, so obviously he's interfering. Then VAR doesn't bother showing the ref that bit.

I mean everyone hates Wolves but that was a disgraceful decision.

Thought Silva did nothing wrong and the goal was rightly given

The keeper has to shove him out the way, then readjust himself. Would've probably gone in anyway, but the fact that he has to interact with him means he's interfering, no?

Great picture, conclusive proof that the decision was correct to award the goal

That’s not an offside position.
He was behind the ball when it was played (because it was a corner)

It doesn’t become an offside POSITION until Stones heads it, by which time there’s no contact, he’s not in the keeper’s line of sight and he’s actively moving away

Absolutely no problem with that, it’s what happens at pretty much every corner and could easily be given as a foul. Just isn’t in most cases … see Arsenal at least twice earlier in the season

Once it’s no foul, it’s a perfectly good goal

Yeh, tbf I couldn't get past the "not interfering" but didn't really consider that the interference has stopped by the time he's technically off, so I've got this wrong. Still doesn't feel right, but there we go.

plus, in your words, he had to push an onside Bernardo out of the way. That should be a penalty then.

Correct

The infringement was on the corner before. Think it was Haaland on the back post, clear throw down to the floor IMO

Still think the initial decision of a penalty for Sanchez’s clattering of Jones yesterday was the correct one. But then the refereeing in this country, at all levels, appears to be at varying degrees of abysmal.

Yeah, it's all well and good saying he got a touch but he then suplexed him, a free kick anywhere else on the pitch (TM)

Yeah, I was surprised this was overturned. Then I thought, as a keeper Sanchez 'had a right' to come forcefully for the ball, and that a collision was inevitable. In that sense you can't then penalise him for a collision, and he did get to the ball first.

Stones goal was rightfully allowed with respect to whether Silva, in an offside position, was impeding the keeper's view. But ffs, when is PGMOL going to crack down on impeding a keeper's movement? It was a clear foul.

If that was a Wolves goal against City it would have been ruled out.
