Paulo Fonseca gets 9 month ban for angrily confronting the referee at the weekends game

the French Professional Football League said the Portuguese boss would be barred from accessing the bench, the officials' dressing rooms, and carrying out any official functions before, during, or after matches until 30 November.

The punishment also prevents him from going to the team dressing room, pitch, tunnel and corridors leading to those areas until 15 September.

It's a three horse race for the title in Serie A, after Atalanta's 4-0 win at Juve. Inter are top on 61pts, then Napoli on 60 and Atalanta on 58.

Bayern nearly started to fcuk it up at the weekend, losing at home to Bochum, somehow. Which means Leverkusen losing for just the second time in 59 league games was rather badly timed. Bayern have an eight point lead, with nine games to play, only two of which are against teams in the top 8.

I know Dortmund are struggling this season, but to see all 3 lose at home this weekend was

Three wins in a row for Liam Rosenior's Strasbourg has them 7th in the table and just two points outside of the Ligue 1 Conference League spot. Rosenior has them on track for only their second top-10 finish in the top division this century.

And continues to prove that the effort Derby made to try and escape the drop after their points deductions was down to him and not Wayne Rooney.

Atalanta's 4-0 win at Juventus last week was Juventus' biggest home defeat in more than 50 years

Atletico go 2-0 up after 70 minutes and are pretty much cruising.....then they concede on 72, 78, 92 & 98.

Barcelona's postponed game against Osasuna has been rescheduled by La Liga to be played next Thursday, which the club says is before their South American players will have returned from international duty

Raphinha, probs their best player this season, will be playing for Brazil against Argentina in Buenos Aires in a WC qualifier the day before.

Arda Kardzhali held a minute's silence before their match with Levski Sofia as a mark of respect for the death of former player Petko Ganchev. Before the game had ended, they issued an apology after finding out that Ganchev was in fact not dead.

Ranieri doing an amazing job at Roma. They had a terrible start this season and he is their 3rd manager so far this season. After a wobbly start they have now won the last 6 games in a row (10 wins in the last 13 matches) and are just 4 points from a Champions League spot

Please let Harry Kane win something.

Bayern have lost Dayot Upamecano and Alphonso Davies for several months after both suffered knee injuries on international duty.

Kane just doesn’t win things, he quite obviously is a jinx and therefore should also be dropped from the England squad.

Everytime Bayern drop points so do Leverkusen. Only 8 games to go. Would be staggering if they didn't win the league now.

Bordeaux - having had a wobbly start to life in the 4th Div, and having started after everyone else and playing catch up, they've been flying, gradually making their way up the table, but looked like they may just not have quite enough to overtake Saint-Malo in 1st place.

They've now lost 5 in a row and have dropped back to 5th place. At the same time Saint-Malo have dropped a load of points and if Bordeaux had just won a couple of those game recently they may well be sitting top now.

PSG now 21 points clear at the top, with 2nd placed Monaco having 21 points left to play for. PSG also have a better GD by +33. So félicitations to them.

Liam Rosenior's Strasbourg continue their great form and are now just 3 point behind a Champions League spot.

Galatasaray lose their unbeaten record after Besiktas beat them. They should still win the league though.

Porto in danger of not finishing in the top 3 in Portugal, with Braga on a great run right now making that look difficult. Looks to be only a matter of time until Boavista are relegated now.

Mainz sat in 4th in the Bundesliga, and a win today would take them to 3rd. Would be quite the story to see them in the CL next season.

7 games left for Hamburg not to screw up. They are 3 points clear of the playoffs with the best GD in the div.

Harry Kane can't have nice things #412.

With Davies and Upamecano out for the rest of the season, Hiroki Ito started for Bayern at centre-back at the weekend - and fractured a metatarsal for the second time this season. Bayern might end up asking Joao Palhinha to fill in in defence.

Roma's amazing run continues. Since 22nd December they have taken 33 points from the last possible 39. my short research suggests they have picked up the most points of any team in the top 5 leagues in that time frame (PSG have picked up 30 points from a possible 32 though)

Juventus up next and then Lazio after that for them
