Handy websites you use to follow football

by Winston Biscuit » 05 Mar 2025 11:08

a place for us to share any websites we use to follow and look into football a bit more in depth

first off is an obvious one to many, but I think some people don't realise that google has live league tables on when games are happening. very handy to keep some league tables open on different tabs on saturday afternoons

Soccerway is another website i find handy. just tons of info about leagues, matches, and players from pretty much anywhere in the world. https://uk.soccerway.com/ there is so much in there you can also do searches for things like all English players in any league around the world https://uk.soccerway.com/players/players_abroad/england/

I use Soccerstats for form tables and breaking up seasons into home and away etc. tons of info you can break things down to https://www.soccerstats.com/formtable.asp?league=england3

also, a great find some years ago was the Ipswich forum site as they store all English league tables after each game. so you pick a league, then select date range, and you can see how a table looked at any earlier point in the season you want https://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:league-one/daterange/fromdate:

Transfermarkt is excellent for all sorts of stats - all the usual, but in particular tracks injuries and days lost to them by player or team.

11v11.com is also good for this and includes a complete head-to-head record of competitive matches between sides who've played in the Football League.

I use http://www.soccerbase.com to look up things like manager records, historic results, player records etc.

And http://www.whoscored.com for all sorts of current player stats and match records.

I've used that Ipswich site for the league tables match by match a few times as well... brilliant.

Likewise pretty sure I know who you are on it.

Would also recommend https://www.fotmob.com/en or the app itself. They stats orientated if you like xG etc but shows it really well and very nerdy.

I prefer www.footballgroundmap.com as I like the interface more, but they all basically do the same thing.

https://onefootball.com/ is quite a decent site esp if you enjoy watching football from random leagues around Europe - currently has the delights of live coverage of the Latvian, Lithuanian & Northern Ireland leagues - in summer has football from Norway & Iceland.
