Sutekh Nicky Gonzalez to Cithehehe

City must have an inkling of what punishment, if any, awaits them. And I really can't decide if spending £172m in this transfer window is the club knowing they've got away with it, or just taking the piss knowing that they haven't.

I don't think City will get a big punishment at all

You all know it’ll be “nothing to see here” but a small fine and carry on.

Kerkez, Huijsen, Semenyo. Maybe Kluivert too. Bournemouth's squad could get completely obliterated by transfers this summer.

Chelsea sign 17 year old Sporting Lisbon winger Geovany Quenda on a 7 year contract for an initial fee of €50M.

Staying at sporting for the next 18 month though

How to earn ££££ while spending the next 7 years playing for other clubs then being sold back to Portugal.

17 years and 95 days old. €50m. Chelsea, again. It's all broken, isn't it?

Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein two of a number of journalists with the 'official' news that Trent Alexander Arnold's team is in negotiations with Real Madrid, with 'all parties confident that a deal will be done'. Probably one of the worst kept secrets in football - but looks like it is now most definitely on.

And one that most at Liverpool will no doubt be glad is over so future plans can be laid. Actually think Connor Bradley is a better right back than TAA anyway, but then I’m old school and prefer full backs who can defend rather than the modern trend towards a largely paceless winger who can’t tackle.

I really like Bradley, and he can tackle hard, but I think that any notion that TAA leaving isn't a net trade down is fanciful, because of how much he adds to their attack. Alphonse, maybe Frimpong, Carvajal. That's it, no-one else is even close to what TAA can do.

That he is leaving on a free will really bite with Liverpool fans. They bought Mac Allister after he signed a new long term deal with Brighton precisely to ensure that the club got some value from his leaving. Maybe Liverpool refused to put a buyout clause in any contract offer, who knows.

I still don't quite know how Liverpool end up with three world class players at the end of their contracts. Konate only has a year and a bit left too.

Stupid idea, the European window will still be open so players would still be bound to sold after 14th!

Should just do away with transfer windows altogether and have the March cut off that we always used to.

Obviously some reactions pretty extreme - but I can understand the frustration with the way TAA has dealt with this. By all means express a desire to leave the club, privately - but don't run your contract down at your boyhood club.

It wouldn't be so bad if he hadn't stunk this year, when he wasn't injured

That's a mindset i just can't understand. The club only wanted him to have a contract until summer 2025. If a better option became available for the club in his position, they wouldn't hesitate in bringing them in and sticking TAA on the bench, maybe even sell him. And the fans would be fine with that. But when it's the player that wants to go for a different option, and is abiding by the contract the club gave him, it's suddenly wrong.

I do think many fans just want to have hate figures in the game, and they need to work out a story as to which players/managers can fit it so that their hatred sounds acceptable/not mental. They've spotted an opportunity to be outraged, to kind of sound justifiable in their outrage, and in the modern world people absolutely love being able to show how outraged they are as it plays into the victimhood thing. Also makes them feel like they look like bigger Liverpool fans.
