TBM
papereyes TBM - might Doyle have had some contact with McCarthy before we scouted him or is that too early?

Its possible as McCarthy was manager of Ireland whilst Doyle was in the U21's.......

Not to mention that the whole football world knew for a year Doyle was leaving us if we didn't get promoted.

But as someone said, he turned down Fulham (in Europe this season) to go there......

And KD did say that he looked upon McCarthy as a hero when he was a kid. Italia 90 and all that.

Pretty sure Wenger said something bout Cambell coming in allowing them to move Senderos on. Be interesting how he does at Everton. Obviously not good enough for a top team, may come good there though.

Agyemang to Bristol City. Every team needs at least on massive brother up front....

It must be an attitude thing with him as at times he does look the real deal.

Paraguay forward Salvador Cabañas is shot in the head in Mexican bar. Wonder if Steve Bruce will continue trying to sign him now?

Cabanas, 29, who was playing for Club America of Mexico's Primera Division, was shot in the head during an attack in the restroom of a bar he had visited with his wife.

Dr. Ernesto Martinez, who performed the surgery, said he was unable to remove the bullet, which is lodged in the back of Cabanas' brain.

"We would do more damage if we tried to extract it," Martinez told reporters at a news conference. "We cannot assure you that he is out of danger. He is young and healthy. That helps."

Does a bloke with attitude problems really want to be at Brizzle Cizzle?

Man United have their bid for Chris Smalling of Fulham accepted; no indication on the bid (though £7M was mentioned this morning)

+100. Blatant Nepotism by Ferguson. There's no way he would have let him go to any other lower half championship side on loan.
