Brilliantly ill-judged 'Justice for Johnson' campaign raised in social media by his sister.
Justice for what? He's admitted feeling up a child.

Not the best choice of picture either, you can't see both his hands...

TBM Are we allowed to post pics of the girl in question btw?

If not, then all i can say is she doesn't look 15

Depends if you want a conviction under the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act or not, really.

Neymar found guilty of tax fraud and ordered to pay €45.9M in back payments and fines.

Neymar and members of his family were found guilty of using his businesses (Neymar Sport e Marketing, N & N Consultoria, N & N Administracao de Bens) to creat false contracts with the sole purpose of avoiding tax payments.

He has already been found guilty of tax fraud in the past and has another ongoing case around the finances of his transfer to Barcelona and the involvement of his businesses in that.

Top judges are to review the case of footballer Ched Evans who was convicted and jailed in 2012 for raping a 19-year-old woman.

Does that mean he is likely to have the case over-turned? They don't have appeals without a good reason, do they?

It has felt like it is on course to be overturned for some time

In my opinion then most probably. The way he has kept himself about, tried to return to football etc.. suggests he feels he has a seriously good chance at over turning the conviction.

I think he had appeals and requests to review turned down before this one being referred successfully so I'm not sure it's that positive a sign for him.

It'll be interesting to see how it pans out though.

There are a lot of people who have been very outspoken about Evans and his treatment after release.

Remember hearing Gordon Taylor talking about Ched Evans on the radio and he made it fairly clear he thought he was not guilty

Indeed, and he got roundly vilified for it too.

His comments/tone suggested that there were further details to come out which Evans and his team thought would get the conviction quashed.

I do wonder what the likes of Ennis-Hill, the presenter who quit as a patron, the board members and sponsors that quit/threatened to if Sheff U let him train, plus all those that started petitions and lobbied their clubs not to sign him will say if he's proven to be not guilty.

In fairness some of them, incl Ennis-Hill, would not have to change their stance at all. Their beef was Shef Utd etc being seen to support a convicted rapist which is what he was at the time. If that is overturned and he is found not guilty then it doesn't change that they still tried at the time to support someone who was a convicted rapist.

Others just won't want to be embarrassed publicly so I am sure will go down the 'not guilty does not have to = innocent' route thinking it saves them face.

loads of clubs still wouldn't touch him though

Will Oldham, though? They were mighty close last time. Do you think he might be able to get a Football League club?
