Thought of him, but came from PSG to United.

True, although he did make his original mark in Serie A

Certainly where he played the most football, but don't forget his initial stint at Ajax. 35 goals in 74 games.

Yeh, Zlatan had already played in 5 different countries before coming to the Prem, so he definitely doesn't count.

Zirkzee strikes me as the sort of player Crystal Palace or Everton would go for. Not the sort of player to interest a club with pretentions of challenging in the Top 5.

Brum have signed keepers Ryan Allsop and Bailey Peacock-Thingy plus striker Alfie May.

You need more than one striker. They spent £72M on Hojlund who (regardless of if he is good enough) will be the main guy this season.

But agree that it's not exactly 'whelming'

United are spending around £50m on 18 year old Lille centre-back Leny Yoro. Leaving side the potential lols of the club spending £50m on a Jonny Evans backup, 1) that's a mad fee, presumably Branthwaite worth similar, and 2) this data shows he wins 93% of his aerial duels, which is riduclous, not least for a player with only a single season behind him.

Also, what an all-round talent Quansah is alongside Guehi, Stones and Branthwaite, suddenly England's centre-back options look very decent again indeed.

Yoro has allegedly already agreed terms with Real Madrid but there seems to be ton of conflicting reports on a lot of transfer rumours at the moment. Liverpool were also monitoring his situation but bailed on it when Real started sniffing around.

Liverpool fans now fuming at FSG as apparently Ornstein said that Yoro was a top target a while ago. Seems FSG are on their way to screwing up yet another transfer window for the ‘pool and the fans are getting sick of the same old cock and bull every summer

City sell Liam Delap to Ipswich for £20m.

City sign Savio for £21m.

Liam Delap has two premier league appearances at 21 with 12 goals in 3 seasons in the championship.

Savio just had 20 G/A in La Liga at 19 years old with a market value of €60m.

Shame on anyone thinking this has anything to do with City Group owning Girona (club he was on loan to)

Maybe one for the bemused thread, but how does being on loan at a club, however related, make it dodgy ?

Girona didn’t hold his registration and didn’t sell him nor, as far as I can tell, have they profited from the deal (trust me, the Spanish football press would be all over it if that were the case as just about the only thing that Barca and Real Madrid agree on is hatred for anything Premier League related)

Stinks of the Watford/Udinese "treatments" that used to regularly pop up. Haven't all the authorities now decided this sort of thing isn't going to be allowed? Still we all know City like playing to their interpretation of any rules.

Dialogue supposedly open and progressing between United and PSG over a permanent move for Jadon Sancho. Player keen to go.

Pepe the Horseman Solanke to Spurs for £65m.

Solanke has all the tools to keep scoring in the PL. But he's 26 and has one good PL season behind him. That fee is absurd.
