Most Liverpool fans I know reckon that with Trent leaving, they should look to bringing in a defensively minded RB which then removes some of the defensive responsibility from the midfield. They also look at Connor Bradley as his long term successor. They're more pissed off with one of their own wanting to leave.

A lot of them also understand the club's viewpoint on Salah. They're looking at a massive contract for at least 2 years for a 32 year old.

The also don't see losing out on Ceicedo and Levia as that big a deal.

I've not seen a lot of evidence of Liverpool fans thinking that an expensive deal for one of the best players on the planet in Salah would be the wrong move. Not least because you'll spend much more than that contract would cost on a replacement (look at the overall cost of Marmoush to City, for example).

As for TAA, the 'issue' with him is that he has run his deal down. The feeling is that if he wanted to go to Madrid, his advisors might have made that clear to the club, and a deal could have been written with a reasonable buy out clause.

I should clarify, they definitely want Salah to sign but they also understand why the club might be stalling. As I think you said, FSG have built up a lot of good will with the fans.

Kvaratskhelia joins PSG for €70M

he was absolutely sensational in Napoli's title winning season (22/23), but has looked a shadow of that since.

Hence joining PSG, I guess. Pressure is off there really. Win the league, like they do every season. Make the CL knockout stages. Collect money.

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten that. Was on barely £1m a year (the poor sod) at Napoli. €16m a year now at PSG. Napoli stalled his contract negotiations, and have had a parting shot at the player after he asked to leave.

I was a big fan of Kochorashvili, who'd been playing in the Spanish 3rd tier the year before Euro 2024.

Is there no end to their relentless spending?

Looking forward to seeing which undervalued player Eintracht sign next and then sell for stupid money 18 months later after they score a shedload of goals.

Neymar's contract cancelled at Al-Hilal after joining for €90M, earning a reported €150M in wages over the past 18 months, but starting just 5 games, with 2 other substitute appearances

reportedly on his way back to Santos in Brazil

not been following his story, why did he start so few games? injuries? reckon he has had the most disappointing career of any global megastar in the history of the game.

did his ACL just after joining and struggled to come back from it.

When he was at Barcelona he was so unbelievably good. for 3 seasons, along with Messi & Ronaldo, he was just miles in front of anyone else in the world. An absolutely insane move to transfer to the French league in his mid 20's.

basically had 3 seasons in his pomp, and the rest of it was fairly wasted (in a football sense)

Saudi transfers don't feel like they should count when it comes to discussions on the best and worst, but if I can include it then I am having Neymar's transfer to Saudi down as the worst transfer in the history of football. quarter of a billion spent on 7 appearances then they cancel his contract. lol

Hull City win the race to get Louie Barry on loan.

Reckon most of the Championship were trying to get him. Going to be interesting to see how he gets on under Selles
